I’m so hyped for Ludum Dare.
This is the second game jam I’ll be participating in. I’m really excited to make more spaghetti code which I’ll be happy to never look at again at the end of the jam xD.

Had to skip a few ludum dares because of unfortunate timings with exam weeks :(
But now I can finally join one and I'm stoked.
I'm genuinely going to wake up at 2 AM on Saturday, which is an hour before the beginning here. Can't wait :D

Made a really simple Ludum dare 42 wallpaper in inkscape so that I'll be able to work without burning my eyes :P

This time I'll be using Godot for the first time in a jam, hopefully It'll go well. And this time I'm even more hyped. Honestly I already can't sleep hahah.

Slaughtered all of them for the first time. A lot of jokes and 42 themes, but there were also some genuinely good ones.
I hadn't participated in a game jam for more than a year this time. I'm extremely excited for this jam :D
The themes seem okay so far, really happy with some of them, not so much with others, but that's the nature of jams I guess. Anyways, good luck to anyone participating, really looking forward to this weekend.
Haven't found an answer for this anywhere online, so I'll ask here. Would using Asset Forge disqualify a game from the compo category? Would the game perhaps have to opt out of the graphics voting category?
Asset Forge is a tool for making models by combining premade blocks. Made by Kenney_nl, aka. Asset Jesus. I find it's really nice for making quick prototypes and since my modelling skills are lousy it's a great backup.
See link: https://assetforge.io/
Your game, all your content (i.e. Art, Music, Sound, etc) must be created in 48 hours.
You’re free to use any tools or libraries to create your game.
Technically Asset Forge doesn't break the rules, though I do wonder if it's in the spirit of the rules. The way the tool works, means you can create models that look unique and have different colors / shaders and whatnot. However, the art style is the same no matter your modifications.
This would mean that if a majority of devs in the jam used Asset Forge for models, all those games would have the same visual feel.
Thoughts?
