A wild Game Idea appears
I don't really like '10' seconds as a mechanic, so I'll be using it to create a premise.
It's October tomorrow, so I guess it's time for Trick or Retreat 3.10
Going to try for a hybrid text adventure this time.

This was a blast, I think I'm going to have to explore text-adventure hybrids a little more in future LDs.
Adding music/sound effects was a crunch, but I think the music came out better than it did in any previous games. I sadly didn't get to write a bigger story or add voiceovers.

Pretty disappointed with everything but Audio/Humor/Mood. But that only fuels my drive to make a better text adventure next time >:D
(With those percentages 100% = first place, more details here)
I'm in!!!!!
Gonna get back to setting up Godot now...
Haven't had the time to test it much, I think I accidentally made some sound effects too loud in comparison to the music. Hopefully people are fine with the music getting turned down alongside it :P

I'm stunned by my ratings. There were less entries this year, but I still beat all of my previous scores with that factored in.

Big thanks to everyone who played my game! I'll beat my first game's record in the theme category next time :P

It turns out I'm going to be extremely busy this weekend, but this will be my 10th LD ever (and 10th in a row), so I'm going to try to fit it in anyway.
I'm glad I've been doing text adventures lately, as those are pretty easy to set up, and I can brainstorm the text while at work. Here's to a 4-8 hour compo game though, it will be a fight to the bitter end, but I will have some consolation from the trusty tools at my side:
I haven't really appreciated planning my games ahead in-depth until now. I've done this while at work and it's saved me a ton of time, as I don't waste time making things up as I go along, and I'm familiar enough with Godot that with a little memory dragging I can figure out what ideas won't translate well to code. It does make things feel more like gruntwork though :P
My art is down the drain, but I'm very proud of my 30-second scroll drawing

I planned on an 8 hour game, but it turned out to be a 15 hour one, ouch and goodbye for a bit, I need to get back to work...

My weapons of choice:
jfxr.frozenfractal.com) - Sound Effect generationCame across this when playing danger zone games, only needs ~2 more ratings, and it's a pretty simple game/has a web build
