I’m in.
Hello, this is my first Ludum Dare.
I’ll use Irrlicht, IrrEdit, Blender, Gimp, SFXR and Irrklang and maybe the free Version of Earth Sculptor.
Hello, this is my first Ludum Dare.
I’ll use Irrlicht, IrrEdit, Blender, Gimp, SFXR and Irrklang and maybe the free Version of Earth Sculptor.
I’m in again (last was LD 23).
This time I’ll use haskell with gloss. I have never done gamedev with haskell before so I hope it works.
Unfortunately working with a programming language I have never used for large projects and a graphics engine I have never used before does not work well. Gloss is quite powerful and the easiest graphics framework I have ever encountered, but having to write the event handling for the whole GUI system myself is still hard.
I think I won’t make it for the compo and even for the jam propably there will be just a simplistic gui and no sound at all.
The mouse input is too inaccurate and fixing it would require writing a complete gui system and a workaround would break at every little change. I don’t habe enough time for rewrite and content so I’m out.
I still consider it a success because I learned a lot and it has never been much promising with new programming language and unknown render engine.
put $ Map.foldr (foldr (\f -> (.)(f time) ) id) restGame consumed
It just runs a list of triggered events and changes the state ;)
I im not happy with the result. Some internet problems have delayed the overall development a lot and greatly damaged my motivation. I didn’t finish what I wanted and the result is not really a game, but I am too tired for working on and just submit now.
I hope, that I can use my own engine next time.
