Wolfbit: 64-bits of pure atmosphere :)

Phew! We made it in time for Ludum Dare AND LowRezJam. YEAH!

It was two seriously awesome days with a seriously awesome team. We are so proud of the result, and a Post Mortem will be written as soon as we’ve got some rare, tasty free time in this exam-filled week at college.

You can check Wolfbit here. It would be really nice to hear some feedback from you guys.

By the way, I’m so anxious to see the other games… but I’m also really tired. Tomorrow I’ll be checking some (a lot!) of those gems.

Congratz  for your games guys, and good luck for everyone who are still in the fight.

WolfBit: How many pixels does it take for tension building?

Hello guys!

Our team has decided to follow not only one, but two jams in this weekend: LowRez an LudumDare.

And that means one more theme restriction for our game: In this case, its the resolution: only 64 pixels.

I mean, look at the size of the fella over here:

(Oh Boy.)

Old legends say that Team Silent limitations in processing hardware, at that time, forced them to insert a really thick fog in the first Silent Hill Games – you all know how it went out, friends. With that in mind and inspiration in our hearts, I present you our latest experience.

WolfBit. Play if you dare it.

WE MUST GO TO THE WOODS.

WE MUST GET RID OF THE DEVIL.

A Screenshot to howl for!

Hey guys! Here is one screenshot of WolfBit for you.

Time to give some love to Linux

Yo! We are happy to announce that WolfBit now has a Linux build. Yay.

Since our WebGL version is not really working (more on that later), it’s really important to ensure that everyone can play our game and have an awesome (if not real tense) experience.

Yeah... almost anywhere

Yeah… almost anywhere.

You can take a look at WolfBit right here.

WebGL is Nutz

Hello guys!

Has anyone else has had some really weird sprite rendering bugs on WebGL versions of your games?

I mean, man! I would love to see WolfBit running smoothly in browsers – even though I think the best experience comes in a dark room, headphones and glorious fullscreen for our 64-bit display :).

Also, on a side note, we will study reducing the size of the Downloadable versions of the game.

By the way, if you haven’t played WolfBit, you should and it’s awesome.

WE MUST GET RID OF THE DARKNESS.

THOSE HUGE BITS: one advise for Windows builds

Hello guys!

We are proud to inform that the Windows version of WolfBit has just reduced from 51Mb to 19Mb.

Captura de Tela 2016-04-21 às 12.52.47

BUT… HOW?

Well, according to Microsoft Developer Network:

“A program database (PDB) file holds debugging and project state information that allows incremental linking of a Debug configuration of your program. A PDB file is created when you compile a C/C++ program with /ZI or /Zi or a Visual Basic/C#/JScript .NET program with /debug.”

That means they are not necessary AT ALL for release builds (AKA running perfectly your game).

And I find that a pretty good advise, as I have seen more than one game at LD35 that has been given the suggestion to remove these huge useless Megabytes of it.

(Including us!)

So thanks Ludum Dare community for pointing this out! It’s really good to be a part of it.

By the way, if you haven’t played our game, WolfBit, go on and check it here.

We are really proud of it, I mean, look at our title screen :)

WolfBit: now with AZERTY and DVORAK support

Hello guys!

Is there anything better to do at a Sunday night than coding new features for our game?

Sure there is! And that’s… playing WolfBit :)
Captura de Tela 2016-04-24 às 23.51.27

Due to players’ requests, and the “keyboard-heavy” nature of our game, we added support for both AZERTY and DVORAK layouts.

Those who have ol’ QWERTY can continue twisting your fingers in tension…. muahaha.
