Last steps
Hi all, we are on our last steps doing our game. Great fun!
Hi all, we are on our last steps doing our game. Great fun!
Hey hey, Good job everyone! LD 40 was much fun for us and hopefully you did enjoy it, too!
This time we tried something absolutely new to us: a storytelling game! And it was A LOT of fun creating it! There are characters, stories, dialogues, settings, levels, animations and so much more to design, create and polish in this kind of games.
From my perspective as the programmer it was quite nice not to have that much of gameplay-dependent systems, but more text, speech, camera flights and so on. Less complex code, more complex scenes and a lot of fun! :D
I worked together with an sound artist, that created tons of clips and worked a lot on the voice-overs, and a game-designer/dialogue writer that gave his voice for the main character.
Me and my team had some bad luck with artists, so we sticked to 3rd party graphic assets this time. Somehow it feels strange to use such non-selfmade graphic assets in a gamejam, but after all I am very happy with it. How do you think about it? For me it was really hard to check 'Opt out graphics' since I worked a lot on post-processing, level design and all those nice-looking things and would like to get some feedback on it .. but yea - that's the downside of using assets ;)

Hi hey,
Have you ever felt like
Hey, I want to play a game to get my game :chart_with_upwards_trend:?
And then you thought
Maybe something else this time with nice graphics ~~and without bunnies~~? :rabbit:
I have an awesome solution for you: Play THIS game!
it contains: - :innocent: :worried: :sob: :ghost: :skull: :smiling_imp: :scream: - 8 Minutes gameplay
and - no more clickbaits - no bullethell - no bunnies - less ratings received than given! *
(*) = at the time I wrote this.
ps: play the game
pps: don't get clickbaited (but this one is worth it!)
Try A Hero's Burden
Hey hey! We finally managed to upload a web build of A Hero's Burden. If you have not played our dark atmospheric adventure, now is easier than ever before
Thanks. It was a great pleasure to jam with all of you!
We did it! Hope you all had fun. I had a lot :)
Our game takes quite some time to play through. Since at a Ludum Dare you are about to play many games we added a small warning:

So if you look for a nice game that is worth two hours+, enjoy our tactical combat game featuring six playable classes like

We did enjoy creating this one. We would like you to enjoy it, too
Hey there,
If anyone is interested in a serious turn-based Dungeons and Dragons like game, come and play One for Another

We are really happy with our game . Try it out if you have some time
