One Room War

First time playing in Ludum Dare!

Here is a basic thing about the game:

“Ever since the end of the universe, the only remaining space of valid matter is a small, gray box. You and another entity are sharing the space, and have been for over 2,539,254,128 years. But now tension is rising, and finally you both fight over the whole space. You win this battle, but the divine entity that ended the universe is not pleased, and resurrects him. Now it’s you against an infinity spawning number of enemies. Will you survive?”

…Or something like that. There is no real story, but if I had to make one, like, if I had a gun to my head, this is what I would come up with.

I wish I could of came up with something better, but I was running out of time and I needed to start working. It will be fun, hopefully, but not very creative…

Progress?

Your health is represented by how much green you have. I died less then a second after capturing this pic.

DEAR GOD

I am VERY Impressed with some of the games I saw on the public blog. It makes my game feel like a piece of crap. BUT I WILL STRIVE ON.

IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER.

Can’t be worse than mine – I just have squares and circles lol.

All done!…WHAT DO YOU MEAN SIGN IN?

GRRR WHYYYYYYYY

I am trying to upload my game through the SUBMIT HERE button, but it states that I must be signed in. Obviously if I wasn’t signed in I wouldn’t be typing this message…

I’m uploading the timelapse to Youtube. http://youtu.be/hV3c2r_jlOI

Good luck with everyone else. :)

Joining in, but a bit nervous…

I’m gonna be participating! I’m gonna practice making content (mainly music) so everything goes fine when the compo starts

I’m going to be using Construct 2 Free Edition, as the 100 event limit will help me prevent making something too complicated.

FL Studio 11 and BFXR for music and sounds.

And Abode Flash CS5 for graphics. 😉

I hope everything goes well for the other contestants, and maybe this time I will remember to review others work XD

Whoop!

Game’s going great! I’d show an image, but alas, the uploading system isn’t working, as all the images I try to post don’t work. Just take my word for it. 😉

MUSIC TIME

Base game is finished, now I must make the music.

Bwahahahahaha!

Oh uh, no media again, as Dropbox hates me. Sorry :(

Post Mortem

I am very pleased with my final product, and I’m glad to actually finish something for once!

I should set myself mini-deadlines for my projects, to keep me going and working on it, although it would be impossible to enforce…Oh well!

LUDUM DAAAAAAAARE

I SHALL PARTAKE IN THIS QUEST FOR SELF-ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR THE THIRD TIME THIS COMING WEEKEND.

MY WEAPONS ARE:

Engine & Development Platform: Construct 2

Sounds: BFXR

Music: FL Studio (I must hone my skills with this particular tool)

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OTHER MAMMALS THAT WILL ALSO PARTICIPATE

THIS Time!

Considering I missed the 25th ludum dare and couldn’t make anything for the 26th (I know, how could I mess up ‘minimalism’?!), I am going to go full on with the 27th! I’m gonna practice, get some basic exercise, inspire myself, and eat well. I will also be unable to work on ROCKETS FUCKING EVERYWHERE, but I was procrastinating on that a lot anyways, so maybe this will help out a bit.

I’m using the following:

-Construct 2 Personal (Engine)

-FL Studio (Music/SFX)

-Bfxr (SFX)

-Flash (Art/Graphics)

Can’t wait for the contest to start! Good luck everyone! 😉

Finished! – Diving Simulator 2015

I’ve finished my Ludum Dare Compo entry!

The goal of the game is to break an ice layer to get Beneath The Surface. How? By jumping on it of course!

Screenshot 2014-04-26 23.05.34

The game was actually made in around 12 hours. I used ‘Construct 2’ as my development tool, GIMP for making a few of the graphics, and Bxfr for sound design.

ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN

I’m very excited for this upcoming Ludum Dare! I will be using the standard tools of the trade for me (Construct 2, Bxfr, and maybe some other random programs) as I’ve come to be a lot better with it then I was before (Thanks Ludum Dare!)

I’m not sure if I’m going to enter the Compo or the Jam yet, because I don’t want to use a random music generator again and might pluck some amazing songs from Pitfall’s Soundcloud (He’s very talented and awesome, by the way)

I’ve participated several times in the competition; here is a list of games I’ve made over the years:

One Room War

@#$% Life! I’m the god damn SUN!

Platformer Roulette (Might come back to this one at some point :) )

Diving Simulator 2015 (This ranked 8th in humor apparently!)

Flipside (Ehhhh…)

I can’t wait to see what other users will submit this weekend! Good luck everyone, and remember to have fun! ^^

October Challenge Progress

Improvising stuff as I go along with my game in spirit of Ludum Dare 😉

A typography styled bullet-hell game! Yayyyy!

(Music from Pitfall, but I modified some of it in places before the actual level starts for auditory reasons)

Ludum Dare October Challenge – Update 3

Added a fast forward function to the game, and this is a preview for Level 3! (The first real level!) Once I have this level done, and I have a basic main menu working, I’ll be posting the game for people to play… somewhere. Probably on Itch.io with both an HTML5 iframe and Desktop Download!

Ludum Dare October Challenge – Update 4

Also, you can now play the game in its current state here: http://phobos001.itch.io/bullet-point

Again, music by the glorious Pitfall! HTTP://WWW.SOUNDCLOUD.COM/PITFALL-3

What are your thoughts?

wow, what engine you used?

LD34

AHA! I am participating yet again!

Hello all! I will be participating in LD34 this month! I’ve made entries many times, but this time I will be using Unity with C#! (Coming from Construct 2) Now, I’ve never finished anything with this new engine, but I’ve figured out the basic workflow and how scripts can interact with each other, so this will be a good way to excersise the knowledge I have gained thus far!

Here is a basic lineup of the tools I will be using:

Engine: Unity (C# + Monodevelop (I like VS Code better but to avoid possible disasters I will use what is built in))

Sound: Bfxr (and maybe Audacity)

Graphics: ASEprite

Power Source: Coffee

Stress Relief: Killing Floor 2 (Gotta use that free weekend 😉 ) and music from Blind Guardian and Nightwish.

I wish everyone an exciting, happy, and productive Ludum Dare! See you all on the other side!

MISSION COMPLETE!

I have successfully completed my LD34 entry! Yaaaay!

The game – The Sun Returns – is about piloting a tiny planet, flying around the solar system, blowing up its friends and absorbing their power. Why? To stop the Sun from burning them all to a crisp instead, of course!

You can play/download the game here: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=12851 (Remember to fullscreen if you’re playing in browser!)

Timelapse video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RByf5kY8rMo&feature=youtu.be

Let me know what you all think!

LD35

AWWWW YEEAAAAHHHH (I’m in!)

Here for my 8 or 9th Ludum Dare! Gonna have to balance between it and the Doom beta, but I’m very excited!

What I may or may not use:

Engine – Unity 5.4 (C#)

Sound – BFXR and Audacity.

Art (hahaha yeah right) – ASEprite

Timelapse – Chronolapse and Hitflim 3 Express

I’m very excited for this! Good luck to everyone else in the competition ^^
