I hate XNA.

WUT?

It’s good to see your games, BUT…

It’s good to see your games, but I have found many games that are off-theme, so they seems like, they were made before the jam/compo. It isn’t fair.

And also good to see very interesting games which are made for the theme.
Keep up the good work jammers!

It’s always such a pleasure to make games for ld.

the theme is so vague, that many games can seem to be out of theme

There’s 2 main l literal ways that I see to fit the theme. The first is to accept that everything has to fit on the screen at the same time without scrolling or anything.

So far most of the games I’ve played fit the rather vague them quite fine. I was very negative about the theme at first and just started coding something all by random, ended up with something that surprised myself.

I also wasn’t so happy when the theme announced, and I don’t underscore little off-theme games.

I don’t want to blame you, just to wrote my opinion of this jam.

But I liked jam this time also.

Playing on IT lesson

My next lesson today is IT and I’ll test out your games on it, because at home I can’t due to my computer is broken.

So testing start 3…2…1..

Cool that you get to do that during an IT lesson. Or are you being sneaky? :p

It sucks that your computer is broken. I hope you can get it fixed or at least can get a new one for Christmas :/

20 days and I don’t know what to do…

Till now I’ve been working with XNA 4.0 with C#, but it isn’t that good game engine.

I’ve been searching for a good 2D game engine in c# but I haven’t found one yet. May I start to learn Java in this 20 days? Can you suggest me a good 2d game engine (except Unity and xna) in c#, with collision detection, and other basic stuff?

PLEASE HELP ME! 😀

Why not Unity though? It’s the best C# game engine IMO.

Why not Unity??? Easy, awesome, and 2D
28. Mar 2015 · 22:33 UTC
If you already know C#, Java isn’t that different, so it shouldn’t be too difficult for you to pick up. Also, Unity is a good engine to learn. Probably your best bet for a really flexible engine, and the scripting is in a language you are already familiar with.

I agree that Java is pretty similar to C#.

Hey-hey, we are in with awesome graphics.

I’m in with Unreal Engine 4. Wait what…

UE4 and C#. How does that work? I thought the only options were C++ and blueprints.

I’m in trouble, BIG TROUBLE

I just finished my game with hard work, but because of my extreme-slow internet connection I can’t upload in time. It is 300mB (7zipped) so it takes about 10 hours to upload!

I am really upset now.

And I have to upload the source (1.1gB)…

What to do now???

Please help me somehow!!
