LD16

48 hours of programming, drinking and no sleep.

I just made last edits on my submission – turned out that platform compatabillity between windows and linux with python wasn’t 100%. Had to make events and graphics to run in the same thread. On top of that py2exe didn’t like opengl, so here i am without a .exe file.. :/ still i hope(,hope, hope) that all of you guys have have a python interpreter with  pygame and pyopengl installed(fat chance!).

Anyway, it was an awesome weekend with plenty of coding, drawing, recording soundtracks, drinking [beer, wine, whiskey, cola, coffee],  crap food, sugar overloads, transfat clogs in my throat,  caffeine overdose,  and so on.. I will be dreaming about pythoncode the next few days.. Good gaming and rating to you all 😉

LD28

I’m in since this morning!

So I finally decided to make it official and do an “im in!”. I’m doing a 3D game, which is kind of ambitious I think, but I had some code laying around, currently hosted at https://bitbucket.org/rolfrm/prototype5 (prototype 1 through 4 did’t not live to see the day :/ ).

I’m using GCC/Mingw C++ with GLFW3, OpenGL and probably some RTAudio once I get around to that. For editor I use emacs and thats it.

I’m creating a kind of abstract game about carrying a spark(of life!)(you only get one) to a kind of explosive (of life!) device. Each level will include enemies that you have to avoid, they will take your spark.

Currently its a bit like a 3D snake clone. But thats just the beginning!

Best luck to you all!

(I ‘m in)

LD weekend again.. after 5 LDs of crap games.. This time i’m ready.

I got my Common Lisp code library tuned, my keyboard is sharpned and a japaneese whiskey rated at 46%. Can’t go wrong..

  • SBCL Lisp Compiler
  • Emacs/Slime (OS/IDE)
  • Gimp
  • Nexus 7 for recording
  • https://bitbucket.org/rolfrm/prototype4

Good luck to you all!

I think so, but we’ll see. I never did LD with CL, not sure any have. :)

LD33

Im in

For this LD I am going program it using my own programming language that I call Photon. I finally reached the state where it works on Windows and I have even made a small game about being a flower to demonstrate its awesomeness.

Tech:
– OpenGL, ?
– Maybe Gimp (or maybe I’ll go 100% polygon)
– Maybe Audacity if I get around to doing sound above bleeps.

Good luck to all!

Seems like an awesome opportunity to show the world what your language can do! Good luck :)
