I must say, coming here after a few hours of work is both motivating and frustrating. That's what I got so far :

Well, we understand what it is, right?
Hey guys ! Just published my first compo ! Check it out and leave your comments here !

As a first-timer, I want to share my excitment. Heard about Ludum Dare a few months back, when I was getting seriously into game development. I told myself "that's nice, it's an occasion to have a deadline on a project, see what I can do in a few hours, try to have fun with it. If I fail it's ok, and if I can submit something, I can be proud of myself."
Well, I really had fun doing it and I am proud of my work, but real excitment came after the publishing, when I got notifications of people giving feedback, and also the excitment to try other people's creations! I only slept 6 hours during the 48 hours of the event, but even after that I found myself spending hours playing your games.
That's how I fell in love. Can't wait for the next event !
Thanks Ludum Dare, Thanks everybody !
I'm in for the second time, COMPO! I will be using: - Unity C# - Photofiltre | Aseprite | Blender - Musescore2 & Audacity - Philips Senseo Original HD6554/10 White (a lot)
I'm not so thrilled with the themes for now (6 greens) but I can't wait to start working on it! And if I don't like the final theme, I will try to give it a whatthefuckish interpretation and have fun with it anyway!
Good luck to all, and most importantly, have fun!
Aaaand... It'published!
Still not convinced with the theme, still not sure I understood what it means, but I had fun creating this game! Hope you will have fun playing it!
The name is Maintenance Costs and it is a puzzle game with robots! If you are never tired of coding, this game is made for you!

Good night everybody.

I felt like most people when the theme was announced, but I finally got an idea that can be fun! I just need to imagine a load of possibilities!

Well, it will probably finish me for good, but I felt like I deserved it! Cheers everybody! And for those who keep going with the jam, I wish you the best of luck!

My game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/tubizo-and-the-dark-detrimental-wizard-of-chaos
Good luck everyone, and most importantly, have fun!
I actually really enjoyed creating a game for this theme, and hope that you will enjoy playing it ! I gave myself an additional challenge this time: create a 3D game, and I'm quite happy with the outcome! So what are you waiting for ?

As a good belgian, I will now reward myself with a delicious Delirium Tremens (the beer, not the illness) while scrolling through your entries. Then, time for bed!
Good luck to those going for the JAM category! Cheers!
Hi everyone!
Just a friendly reminder that there are still more than half the entries that didn't get 20+ votes yet! I think everyone spent a lot of time creating good stuff, and deserve a ranking and feedback too!
To easily find these entries, go to Games and filter on "Danger":

Believe me, there are actually a lot of under-advertised gems over there!
Hey everyone! I thought I would quickly write a post about a small script I made to get rid of all the spam on this page.
This works using a browser extension called Greasemonkey (I think it's for Mozilla Firefox only, but there are probably similar tools for other browsers as well).
You can find the script and more information regarding the setup over there: https://github.com/nistace/ld-spam-remover
It currently removes posts if: - The user never published a game and created 3 posts or more. - The user never published a game and included 2 links or more in their post. - EDIT: The user never published a game and 1 link in their post contains the word "casino". Thanks for your contribution @lone-wolf!
It's not perfect, so please let me know if you think of other, easy to implement, criteria that I can add to the list.
See you in 67 days! :)
Hey! I'm sorry to ask but I wasn't able to play much games this time. I would still like to be ranked and I only need one more vote! Anyone would be kind enough to test my game?
Thanks :D

Hello fellow jammers and statistic-enthusiasts! If like me you compile stats for your rankings, it looks like there was a small issue with some game that is ranked in the jam category but counts as compo. The queries to the LD API to know the number of entries are off.
These are the actual numbers:
Overall: 357
Fun: 357
Innovation: 356
Theme: 351
Graphics: 351
Audio: 287
Humor: 302
Mood: 342
I already let Mike know about the issue!
I hope all of you are happy with your ranking! See you in 152 days!
