Run!
It’s our first Ludum Dare, and our first complete game. Check it out and let me know what you think.
It’s been a fun weekend, hopefully I can partake in another again sometime.

This will be my first real Ludum Dare, and I plan to do with with my friend Matt. We’ve done Mini Ludum Dare, Asylum Jam, and Indie Speed run already. Our setup will more than likely be:
I’ve written up a post about it on my blog and plan to write up a detailed postmortem after the fact.
Good luck everyone, I can’t wait to see what you all make!
That is all…

My friend Matt and I just recently submitted our game entitled Mind the Gap. It’s about an explorer who does exactly the opposite of the title of the game, and finds himself plunging down a seemingly endless hole. More your explorer left and right, avoid everything in your way all while making sure you don’t hit the walls. You may even be able to escape!
This is our first real Ludum Dare, so we hope you all enjoy the game. We’re open to any criticism, good or bad.
I’d also like to thank all the organizers and participants of this Ludum Dare. It was an awesome experience, and the next can’t come soon enough.

And since you all like pretty pictures, here are a few. Enjoy the game!
I missed LD30, so I couldn’t miss this one. I can’t wait to see what everyone makes. This time around I’ll be using:
We’re working on a top-down shooter that has a strict time limit in which you must clear the room. Basically, you’re given 15 seconds and kill all the enemies and get out of the room before it explodes. You keep going until you lose, and your goal is to see how far you can get. We have a core game loop so far, we just have lots of polishing, effects, and audio to do.

Folks from across the Wastelands come to witness fools like yourself attempt to find fame, fortune, and glory in the Murderdome. Challengers face off against each other in the most violent of modern day bloodsports. Each room of the Murderdome is equipped with gun wielding psychopaths, campfires, and explosives. You will need to move fast between rooms, otherwise your life will be claimed by the arena. Prepare yourself challenger, and come see what awaits when you… ENTER THE MURDERDOME.
It was a long weekend, but the game turned out better than we could have hoped. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. If you leave a comment on my game I’ll try my best to give yours a shot.
We made our game Enter the Murderdome for the jam, but decided to release the source code anyway. I’m a huge fan of open source, since it’s always interesting to see how other people do things and it’s a great way to learn. I’ll admit the code is not the best, but it works pretty well for what it is. I used Render Textures to render the game with a pixellated look. Unfortunately, this means you’ll need Unity Pro to get the most out of it.
If there are any other games that have source code available, I’d love to play them and check out the code. So please leave links in the comments.
There are only a few hours left to rate Ludum Dare 31 games, so if you haven’t had the chance to try out Enter the Murderdome yet it’d be awesome if you could give it a shot and let us know what you think. We’re currently working on an expanded version of the game and any feedback to help with that would be appreciated.
We’d also like to thank everyone who tried my game over the last two weeks, especially those that provided feedback. We think the game is fantastic, and we’re glad many of you do as well. Like I mentioned earlier, we’re hard at work on a post-compo version and have some great ideas of how to improve it because of your great feedback.
Thanks again for playing, and if you haven’t please considering giving our game a shot before the deadline is up! We both look forward to Ludum Dare 32 and making even more great games with this great community.
Hey everyone, I’m in for Ludum Dare 32. As usual, my friend Matt and I will be partaking in the Jam using the following tools:
This will be our third Ludum Dare, and we’re hoping it’ll be our most successful yet. We had some success in Ludum Dare 31 with Enter the Murderdome, and we’re hoping to continue that trend and make an even better game this time around.
I look forward to playing your games, and hope you all have a fun weekend!
There are so many games to play, I’m having a hard time deciding which I want to rate/comment on.There are so many great games to choose from that it can be a bit overwhelming. If you post links to your games in the comments, I’ll be sure to rate and provide some feedback as soon as possible. I try to make sure I provide useful feedback in all my comments.
I prefer web, but I can play on the following platforms:
If you’d like to give me feedback on my game, Off to the Races, when you have some time I’d really appreciate it: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=13891.

Hey everyone,
With Ludum Dare’s rating period ending in the next 12 hours, I’m looking for some games to play and rate. If anyone has anything they want me to check out feel free to post a link to your game in the comments. I’ll be sure to try my best to give some good feedback as well.
If anyone else is looking for games to play, feel free to give my game Off to the Races a shot. I’d love to hear what you think of it. It’s mainly designed as a hectic local multiplayer experience, but it has a single player component as well.
Good luck!

In a few minutes voting ends and we await results. Why not check out my game Off to the Races and let me know what you think. It’s fun, I promise.

We’ve been making great progress so far. We’re planning to make a randomly generated endless SHMUP that’s all about survival and leveling up your weapons. Here’s a GIF of a neat exiting warp speed animation we’ve created that will more than likely be how the game starts when you press play. We want players to get into the game as quickly and stylishly as possible.

There are so many games to play that it’s tough to decide which to rate and comment on. If you post links to your games in the comments, I’ll be sure to rate and provide some feedback as soon as possible. I try to make sure I provide useful feedback and criticism in all my comments.
If you’d like to give me feedback on my game, MODE_SHIFT, when you have a minute I’d really appreciate it: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-35/?action=preview&uid=13891.
Thanks, and I look forward to trying all your games.
If you haven’t played MODE_SHIFT yet you should give it a try, let me know what you think, and post your high score. We’re pretty happy with the game, and would be interested to see how well people can do at it. Any ratings would also be appreciated.
We’re on the home stretch, and LD35 voting will be over soon. It’s been a great event, and a lot fantastic and unique games were created. I plan to play and rate a bunch of games this weekend, so if you’d like me to check out your game (or have any great recommendations) please leave them in the comments. If you could also let me know what you think about my game MODE_SHIFT I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks again everyone for a fantastic Ludum Dare once again! I hope to play all your new creations in a few months.
