When the Theme Voting Round began yesterday, there was some text at the top of the list claiming that the themes has been “sorted by popularity” but I can no longer see this text. Did I just imagine this? Can someone more in the know clear up if the Theme Voting rounds are simply randomly sorted or if the top of the list were the more popular themes during the Slaughter?

This is our 4th Ludum Dare, and dare I say (get it?), our most successful submission to date. We're super happy with our project, it feels very polished and complete. Hey folks, we're stoked to take part in LD47!

LD46 was a huge success for us - it was our 5th LD and brought us the best ratings we've had to date (including our first single-digit category rating!) Driven by the wonderful feedback, we've been continuing development of our game WAVER and it's really REALLY close to done. I'm hyped for all things game dev right now... I've been watching game jam dev diaries, getting excited about WAVER's release, and starting to brainstorm theme ideas for LD47. I intend to bring that energy into October and have fun making another LD game!

I've got to say, we were only expecting around half as many green votes as this, so we're pretty happy with Round 1!

In fairness, not every green vote is here is because we think the theme is inherently strong - a couple of them are because the theme has given us an idea we'd enjoy rolling with. Anyway, that's neither here nor there, more than 50% green votes is a very pleasant surprise for us.

Looking forward to seeing what Round 2 has to offer!

Some of you might remember WAVER from Ludum Dare 46 - a quirky and colourful rhythm/typing game in which the theme "Keep It Alive" refers to maintaining the 'wave' as it travels through the crowd at a sports stadium.

After some lovely feedback during the jam, we decided to continue development of WAVER, and this weekend it has been released on Steam! It's also opening to a 40% release discount, so check it out quick.

Jingoku is minigame-driven-physics-driven Jenga! Here's what it's looking like so far:

We're really proud of how Jingoku has turned out! Here's how it's looking as we get ready to submit our build.

Hey folks! If you've played Jingoku, you may have noticed that your Global rank isn't showing up after your game. The leaderboard service we're using is new to us, and after some investigation, we've realised that the way we were requesting leaderboard data was only finding the top 10 players. So if you weren't in the Top 10, your number wouldn't show up!

A fix for this has now been released, so downloading the game will show you your Leaderboard ranking. The best part is that your save data and ranks will be retained! In fact, if you played the download build up until now, you'll have a highscore ready to view even if you haven't been able to see it up until now. The only thing that wasn't working was the display - it's all been functioning behind the scenes.
