Time Rupture

Hello, I’m Petar Dimitrov and together with my brother Miroslav we are making this game called Time Rupture.

The art of the game is being made by me and my brother is doing the coding. We are participating in the Jam for first time.

For now here is the start screen for you:

There is some movement being implemented, but for now only snapshot.

More about the lore and the whole idea behind the game later. :)

Time Rupture Update #2

So here is some art. We are getting most of the parts together into the game right now. Went through game breaking bug already too…

Other ideas are being made and we hopefully will get to add them too. :)

It is game about Time so we have a time machine of course.

Time Rupture – Final

We did all we could but the time hit us so hard that we couldn’t even add and polish some parts which were already planned.

Although it is our first entry in Ludum Dare, I would want even more of it, but who would’t? That is good though I think, you should always try to put yourself up the limit and leave your comfort zone as some people like to say.

Mistakes were done and now looking back at it, even though it was just 3 days we already learnt a lot, and that is the whole point isn’t it.

If I can sum up, as first experience in Ludum Dare – I like it a lot and the best part is that, even though some bits of the development felt like hitting your head in a brick wall, we got the most of it and learnt a lot. I started to repeat myself a bit, but you can only see the important part that way. 😛

Anywho I will leave you here with a few screenshots of our game and a link so you can try it out.

Unknown name game

We still don’t have name and because of tons of other things we had to do we have done very little work …
After all we are in and we will continue as far as we can reach for the time we have. :) The main idea is in, we know what we want to do, it is just matter of time and work now… Here is work in progress screenshot from the main menu.
The game is about magic, runes and will be hopefully some sort of puzzle.

(Again, the title is still not in!)

Spell of Old

After having done totally nothing for the whole Saturday and Sunday we decided to come back today in Monday and we did everything you can see in the game just for 10 hours… That was total mistake if you ask me but we were out of energy the entire
weekend.

Well we present to you Spell of Old:

Hero

Preview of the protagonist of our game. Unfortunately even the pretty made parts of her will be destroyed in the form of my bad animations and some necessary scale down.

Protagonist

Arched Dimension

No idea how but we after all managed to get it done and post our game in the given time. So, we present to you our Arched Dimension!

Check out the game here. It was real pleasure to work on it! We hope you all like it. :)

We are in!

Me and my brother are going to be making a game :)
We will be using java and lwjgl.

As a first element from our game, we present you nothing else but a puffer fish!

Every serious game needs at least one puffer fish, right?

It even has googly eyes!

I’m going for an underwater theme, as well. Great work!

We are once more in. Only time will tell if we succeed with the idea we have in mind.

Team of two – Miroslav Dimitrov – programming – C++ and OpenGL.

Peter Dimitrov – art, story, etc.

Good luck everyone!

We are in!

Hi,

Our team consists of me (Miroslav) and my brother (Peter). We are going to be making a game for the iOS.

I will be doing all the programing. For the programming I am going to be using Xcode. The game will be written in Swift and will be using Apple’s Metal.

My brother is going to be using Photoshop for all the graphics. As for sounds, they will be created in GarageBand (if we get there).

You can check Peter’s art at this link.

Progress shot

Hey guys,

It’s Peter this time, the artist in our team of two! I have some interesting things to show you. We went for a game set in space where the player is a stationary space station in the middle of the screen. All sorts of things go for him and try to destroy him and he just can’t move! Got to find another way to save himself. That is where a shield comes in handy. One controlled rotary with an axis in the middle. Might come for a interesting mechanic, especially for a mobile game, we will see.

You can see the station here – the second one, I had to eliminate the first one as with its small details it could not really have been seen on any smartphone. Has a green shield.

Also, one very, very tiny .GIF where you can see some motion!

Like what you see? If you have interest in my art, head over to my portfolio at FB or Artstation.

Thanks,

Peter.

Asteroids!

Here is an update with some shiny asteroids that I painted.

Just after them you can see two shields that will be permanent upgrades to the arsenal of the players space station.

There will also be asteroids that don’t have any “magical” and pretty crystals for the player to collect. The shards of these stones will be the currency in our game, so you can purchase things like exactly these shields.

To see more of Peter’s art, follow over at FB, Artstation or Twitter. More insight from the programmer Miroslav at Twitter.

We are in. A team of three.

We are in, and this time around with a tiny bit bigger team than usual.

Already brainstormed some ideas, but as it is very late here in the UK, we will start active work tomorrow morning.

Now, meet the team:

Christina Vaggou - Art and Design

Peter Dimitrov - Art and Design

Miroslav Dimitrov - Programming

My brother, Miroslav, will be writing the game from scratch on C++ as well as using OpenGL. In the meantime Christina and I will figure out the main mechanics, story and then create all of the assets and art.

The last years we've had some very hectic but immensely fun jams and I am very excited (as is my brother) to work together with another person in the team this time around. Feels like we will be able to reach new heights!

Good luck everyone!
