My First LD – Entering LD 34!!!

Hello, WolvesOfOdin here (though technically I am the only wolf, using it as my studio name). My real name is Scott, and I  am going to be entering into my first Ludum Dare! I am very excited, I stumbled upon this on accident while watching TheGypsyKnight on twitch.

Tools I will be using for LD34:

Unity (C#)

Paint.net

SFXR

and stock music.

I will be entering the Jam portion of the contest since this is my first time. Mainly doing this for the experience of making a game in 72 hours. I am SUUUUUUUUUUPER excited for this event. Good luck to everyone, I hope you have a fun weekend :)

Entering Ludum Dare 35

Hello, Wolf here. This is going to be my second Ludum Dare. Last year in Ludum Dare 34 I made a game called “Cook!!! I’m Hungry!!!” – http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=63026

While I was proud of my game, I think this time I can bring something better to the table now that I have three months more experience. I will be broadcasting my Ludum Dare challenge this time, and I am going to try for the Jam this time around. It gives me more pressure to finish the project in a shorter amount of time. Hopefully I can really accomplish something this time around. Really looking forward to Ludum Dare 35, I will see you on twitch – https://www.twitch.tv/wolfofodin

Ready For Ludum Dare 35 – My Second Ludum Dare

In December I entered and completed my first Ludum Dare challege. My game was for the compo portion of Ludum Dare. My first Ludum Dare game was not really good. I was proud of my accomplishment at the time, because I completed a game in 72 hours. However looking back, I know I could have done better, way better. If you want to play my Ludum Dare 34 game (warning it is really hard and has horrible controls) here it is – http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=63026

This time around, I am doing the 48 hour jam. In the last three months my programming skills have improved, and I am feeling far more confident than last time. I am also confident that this Ludum Dare game no matter the theme will blow my old game out of the water. I hope to give you guys something fun to play this time around. Good luck to everyone and have fun.

Tools I will be using:

Unity

Programming Language – C#

Paint.net

sfxr

Audio Sauna

I will be working alone as usual. I’m the type that likes and really enjoys working solo on a project. I just don’t work well with others.

You Probably Will Not See A Submission From Me – Having Friends From Out Of Country Over

Howdy Folks, while I would love to redeem myself after the failure that was Ludum Dare 35 (I was too ambitious). I sadly will not get a chance most likely to do this. On August 20th some friends are coming to visit from outside of the country. It would be pretty tacky if I spent 2-3 of the days they have with us on Ludum Dare 36. So, I will have to opt out of this Ludum Dare. If I do anything, it will be when everyone is asleep, I could maybe get in 8 hours. So depending on the theme, if I can punch something out in 8 or so hours in 3 days I will try. But, no guarantees. I will have to wait for Ludum Dare 37.

75% Chance I Won’t Be Doing LD37

Good Day. LD37 kinda snuck up on me. I did not enter the last one due to the fact that I had guests from out of country. This time I may not enter as I am already working on a game. I am developing it Mon-Fri, I take the weekends off to recharge my batteries. Afraid if I do LD37 I won’t have those recharged batteries I count on to continue development on my game. So if I do enter LD37, I will probably give it about eight hours of my time at the most. But in all likelyhood I may be waiting until LD38.

Good luck to all entering.
