How high can you go? Are you afraid of falling? Try it now: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/50/rising-bird
You control a cute lil’ bomb. You wouldn’t want it to explode right? Then run, fire is catching up on your wick.

A dozen of levels to run through to avoid the fire!

Finally done with our game, we're very proud of our innovative fuse & fire spreading mechanics & how finished & polished it is! Go play it, we will play your game in return if you comment!
I really didn't want to do this, especially since I had to last time as well, but my family and I were just too sick this weekend.
My game was called "The Call of Qhulhu", taking inspiration from "Qbert", "The Call of Cthulhu", and the C64 version of "Ghostbusters".

Submission! IN F*ING TIME :) This time around, our 5th, only 2/5 people of the team were able to participate and those 2 only had about 12h each. But we minimized the game concept and delivered on time, which is a huge win for us!
Thanks for everyone at LD for managing a great jam again.. more fun every time around.. even if the topics could use some "bans" ;)
Cheers community! Excited to play your games in the coming days.. but now .. some snoring ;)

Really proud of our team! We tried to come up with something that would feel more light hearted given the theme. It was our first ever game jam with each member's game dev experience ranging from a little to none, so there was definitely a learning curve lol. It's been really fun trying out everyone else's games as well!
Bombfall, the game me and @sulio made, is finally out!
It's 1:30 AM here where i live, and my eyes are burning, so i'll just go get some sleep now :)
Play it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/50/bombfall

We're so close to the end yet so far from being finished with our game... But what would be a game Jam without the Rush at the end ? Anyway, congratulations to everyone who has already finished and good luck to the others ! I'm looking forward to test all these lil' games~

Now you can try to save Dude's relationship. It was really fun to make, especially with our wonderful team :))

All praises to our little dog Stas^^, who has become our personal totem

You find yourself traveling somewhere inside a run-down railroad car. You know you have to get off at some point, but still – you do everything in your power just to stay a little bit longer. The conductor is watching your every step. He knows who you truly are.
Where is this train really headed?

Hello little farmer!
This game is about the never ending fight against weed. Crops can't grow if there is weed on their patch.
So make sure to prepare the ground, plant the seed, water it and keep an eye on the weed!
If there is too less water or too much weed on the patch, crops won't grow and the patch will eventually disappear. It will happen in the future, but you can delay it as much as you can!
Try to keep always an eye on the orders to deliver the fruits needed. Otherwise you will run out of seeds soon, as it is not guaranteed that you get a seed from harvesting crops.
Deliver your hard earned crops at the chest!
There is a Webbuild you guys can play.

DONE FOR MY FIRST GAME JAM : https://makazemafuu.itch.io/monsterchase
Hello everyone ! I'm Mafuu and entirely new to this world. I started using & learning on Unity & C# a week ago and decided to try the Ludum Dare 50 Game Jam !
For the Lundum Dare 50 Game Jam challenge, my team and I couldn't finish our project & decided to postpone it for the Extra option LD offers or simply finish it together without a time limit later on when we have more free time (no school or work).
BUT- I really wanted to challenge myself still ! So I made something on my own in the 9 hours left I had for the 72 hours Game Jam ! It was VERY difficult, and I started Unity & C# only last week, but it was really cool still and I can't wait to do more. I learned a lot !
So this game maze by was made in 7-8 hours on Unity & C# for the Ludum Dare 50 - and includes the following which I learned at the same time :
• Player movements, Triggers & Colliders • Pathfinding for AI (at least the basics) • UI (basics)
I used Brackeys' tutorials a lot but not only. It was both fun and frustrating at times, because I'm new and made so many repetitive mistakes in the beginning with both my team & then on my own for this project.
This is just the start of a long journey for me, as I wish to become a Technical Artist !
Check out my linktree here if you wish to follow me on my socials : https://linktr.ee/makazemafuu I'm still working on a lot of different projects, including my portfolio that'll slowly have more things inside in the futur.

I had tried to put a timer, which was working except for the part where the player dies and it wouldn't stop, and I couldn't find how to do that before it was too late unfortunately. Any ideas how I could make my timer stop when my GAME OVER display shows ?
Feel free to give me some constructive feedback & tips on how to improve this type of maze game with enemy following you, triggers and such. ♡

We finally finished our humble crazy zombie game, thanks for waiting hehehe, finally we participated at the last moment, and everything went well... I hope.
Finalmente terminamos nosso humilde jogo maluco de zombie, obrigado por aguardarem hehehe, enfim participamos no ultimo momento , e deu tudo certo... eu espero.

Maybe not the most innovative game, but it was a lot of fun and the flowers are really pretty :D
Also feels good to have made another game in a long time
Now I'm exhausted and will go to sleep soon (after looking a bit through the feed to see what the rest of you are up to), but I'm excited to play some jam games in the coming days!

Hey guys it's been an amazing experience to participate in Ludum Dare for the first time, we made everything from scratch to challenge ourselves and we are happy with the results.
In the game you're a grandma that just made an apple pie, and you don't want anyone to eat it while its hot. But, of course, someone will eat it, it's inevitable. woow
