This is the first time I've tried making "real" art myself for a game jam. I was surprised I could actually pull off some simple drawings, and they turned out pretty cute! Although it's a bit of a shame that I didn't have time to adjust the high difficulty, I really enjoyed this jam!

Hope you enjoy!

Something I never really got around to doing for previous entries was making the page look good with custom visuals. Being able to do this now is so satisfying!

For the first time in participating 12 times in Ludum Dare, we actually managed to finish everything we planned! :duck:

Have you ever wanted to steal ducks from a park, well now you can - legally!
Play our game Duck Dealer (we also have a web build on itch.io!)

We just finished this game for the game jam and we are loving it, how would you guys build upon it?
Merge! Merge!: ``` Step onto a world where adventure awaits at every rustling bush. In Merge! Merge!, you’ll explore a vibrant world, hunt for Morphids, merge them to grow stronger, and level up to take on the boss!
Make sure to keep an eye out for any shiny Morphids you see! 👀

Ah, It’s such a magical experience to publish a game for the first time

I just finished drawing this! It's not in the bundle, but you can still get a brown egg when the game ends.

I finally fixed my download file!
Check it out here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/58/ld58-totem-traveller Or on my profile, games, LD58 Totem Traveller
Zipped folder containing a now working .exe file and hosted on itch io (sorry for no web version yet!)
Apologies to anyone who attempted to play it last night. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to try out my project. It is a mess, but it is my mess and I'm pretty proud of that!
My only goal for this game jam was to finally make something that runs. But it turns out that is a much harder goal than anticipated! I am now convinced that programmers are math wizards!

Come take a walk in the mountains and see what you can find. Many strange things walk these woods, and if you're quick enough and accurate enough to get the shot this could be your big break!

This is my second Ludum Dare game, honestly much better than my first one, i had no time to add sound but i think it's overall pretty polished all things considered, only found a bug in my game (that i don't know how to fix lol) that doesn't really affect gameplay, so yeah, that's cool.
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/58/collectants

The game's name is "CollectAnts" (as in Collector Ants, you can't collect ants sadly). Basically, a tower defense game where rather than focusing on defeating enemies, your main focus is you don't run out of resources, by upgrading your collectors and defense towers. Tbh i like the concept, so i might lowkey make it a more complete game, but for what it is it's a small fun experience that requires strategic thinking. So, yeah, if it sounds interesting, check it out!
Did you run backwards as a child? Will you be able to take a perfect photo of it? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/58/face-collection

More often than not, I end up with a dark (or plain black) fill for the entire screen.
What are your tricks to make the game look better without big time investments?
Can someone explain me what Classic Balance and Smart Balance means? What number will be good? It’s our first game and we honestly don’t understand 😭 https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/58/goblin-lords-dream
