Now that the jam is over and I’ve finally had a good rest), I can finally make a post about my game — where you first lose everything and then, by trading slaves, earn money to buy your freedom. So if you’ve ever thought it might be interesting to try being a slave trader, my game is for you).

We’ve discovered a critical bug that lets you kite a monster indefinitely. We asked the programmer how it slipped through. The programmer replied:

“Yeah, I knew about it. I figured I’d leave it in as a joke. Sometimes bugs turn into features.”

The game supports smartphone browser!

This is due to our 1-button control scheme. We started with a 2-button control scheme but opted out of it for simplicity to make sure the game can be explained and understood as easily as possible. This smartphone support is coincidental but very welcome side-effect!

Golden Bot Challenge!

Having mastered our own game I am happy to announce a new meta challenge for the game - Golden Bot Challenge! To make the game more difficult you're supposed to build a full bot with only gold parts and win the game without selling it! PRO TIP: The collected bots and parts stay until the next days ;-)

I am excited to discover new ways to enjoy our dear new game! And without any actual modifications to the game itself!

heat build goes brr

Hey guys, we're noticing some nice feedback from you so we decided to start introducing build updates for the web version. To keep things absolutely transparent, we will be uploading untouched original build as downloadable, and will give a visible notice in the main menu that web build will be updated.

That said, next web update will probably be in a day. It should improve in-battle animation speed and hopefully make the game feel better!
