Hello ! I voted :-)

Hey everyone! I'm looking forward to jamming with you all!
It's been a LONG time since I last did Ludum Dare but I'm looking forward to clearing off the rust and making something weird again!
May the best game win!
You can check out my social media and past entries below!

Hello, fellow Ludum Darers!
About a week ago, I made a plugin for Godot that adds a "Workspaces" bar to the top of the editor, similar to what is in Blender. Aside from the basic layout switching, it also allows you to hide parts of the editor, filter files in the FileSystem (experimental), set per-workspace themes, sync FileSystem navigation with the open file (scene, script or inspector) and more.
Thought you might want to check it out!

Ludum Dare jams are my favorite times of the year! 🧡 I was so severely depressed last jam that I can't even remember making the game 😅 But I'm doing better now... and knocking on all of the wood to hope it stays that way.
I wrote a big ol' blog post about prepping for the jam, which includes taking this weekend off because we (my partner and I) worked all last weekend to release a big game. And today is grocery day, which means some easy-to-make dinners and lunches, and some special snacks and drinks! 🙌

Feeling a bit melancholy, but I’m in, for one of the last times.
.

Welp. Got to make the best of these. This will be my 36th ludumdare in a row. xD i started at LD24, hi. I’ll be using these this time:
IDE: Eclipse - Eclipse Foundation
Engine: LibGdx - Open Source, originally written by Mario Zechner
Graphics: aseprite/paint.net -david capello/Rick Brewster; Tiled - Thorbjørn Lindeijer; TexturePacker - main guy: Metaphore, also: tommyettinger, devjn, terafog, thefacecore, hangman and voidburn.
Fonts: FontForge - George Williams and the FontForge Project contributors
Sound: Audacity - Dominic Mazzoni and Roger Dannenberg
Music: Cakewalk by BandLab
Timelapse: Chronolapse - keeyai
Another great event to try to make a game. I'm hoping that my game will feel different this time from other entry's I've done. Whatever that means. Good luck on your games ludumdarians. :D
As we all know, Ludum Dare (and most game jams) require creating art, audio and other assets in 48 or 72 hours, but sometimes there's a grey area on whether something counts:
Obviously, you don't just take artwork you previously created and edit it. That would be cheating. But what if you were to reuse your signature "style" or use your non-LD art as inspiration for LD art? Where would you draw the line?
Also, the Jam allows you to use base code you already have, but sometimes, the line between "code" and "art" is blurry. For example, you could have code that generates visuals.
What are all your thoughts on this?
Wish me Luck
With the recent news, and uncertain about the future, I'd like mention that I feel lucky to have experienced this unique community, even if for short.
This will be my 2nd jam here. Better make these count!

We're IN for LDJAM 59 We're Trans Rescue- A Dutch NGO that helps trans people escape places it's dangerous to be trans. We work hard, we play hard, we're doing Ludum Dare 59. Want to join? We're on Unity, we figure, but otherwise it's all up in the air until theme time. We might do 3D, lots of us can do that. We work in lots of interesting places, we might try to fit some of that into the theme. We're fairly organized, we have a starter project and such . We'll probably put a beg for Trans Rescue on the endscreen. So joining us would help save trans lives. Want to join? email annie@transrescue.org
