Piggy’s Adventure

A glorious adventure is awaiting for our sneaky pig !

Hello everyone !! We are a group of students that created a game for the first time as well as participating in ludum dare. Therefore, after 2 challenging days we managed to make a platoformer game , nice and simple, in which the main character , a cute pig , needs to survive in the wild , eating exotic fruits and running away from predators.

We hope you’re going to play in our game and like it as much as we do .

GOOD WORK ON COMPLETING THE GAME JAM EVERYONE <3

I started this weekend without power because of a HURRICANE! But despite all that I was still able to get a generator on Saturday&Sunday and the power came back earlier today! So after some setbacks I was still able to complete my game!!

This is my game Pipe Nightmare!

Can you connect the pipes to the drain before they burst?

Timeslime

Hey guys, I would love it if you tried me and my friend's game Timeslime. It's our first game jam, and we had a great time, so we would appreciate some feedback, since this definitely won't be our last!

If you comment with a link to your game, I'll try it out and give some feedback, too!

It's a game where each time you make a move (or shoot), the input is recorded and played back 10 seconds later, in the next wave. Each wave has one more enemy than the last, so you have to be conservative with your inputs, in order to not get flooded with inputs in the next wave!

You have to give an equipment to soldiers! [Gottschalk]

imageem2022-10-04/em15-49-19.png

Hi there! Our team was made a game about commander, who has to give to soldiers weapons and armor, also he has to buy new equipment and fight with an enemy!

It's not so easy to manage all that stuff, so you shold try hard if you want to defeat your enemy!

P.S. Also we have intro cutscene! You have to check it :)

Have a nice time and we hope that you'll like our game!

Try Machine!

Link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/machine

Try yourself as a logistics master. Complete orders and score points!

The game supports launching in the browser via a link.

In this game you have to drag the cubes, turn them into others with the help of MACHINES. The game has a high replayability, because the recipes for each run are randomly generated. I think it turned out to be very fun and exciting. Try Machine! img.png

Use of AI ganerated art

So, before the start of LD51 there were a lot of discussion on how much AI generated art could be counted as art done by the developers/artists. We ended up using very little actual art, but I thought I would share how we used AI (specifically MidJourney) for our LD51 entry.

Screenshot 2022-10-04 154440.png

The above is a screenshot of our game. In this image, AI assisted in two ways. Most notably we used AI generated images for the level backgrounds. After getting the raw images, we used post-processing and Photoshop editing, to make the actual generated graphic less noticeable.

Here is the raw image that we used (MidJourney prompt: spaceship tilemap): modsatemspaceship/emtilemap_7ba78960-9271-4688-8187-ff674749f8df.png

The other way we used AI was for our player character. You won't see it in the game, because the character was done with basic shapes in Photoshop, and the AI generated art was only used for inspiration.

Here is the raw image that we used for inspiration (MidJourney prompt: 2d robot mechanic spritesheet): modsatem2d/emrobotemmechanic/emspritesheet_e0eeb4d2-1df4-4ec2-a787-636722729bc3.png

Here is our player character drawn with inspiration from the image above. Can you spot the one used as the basis of our player character? LowPolyRobot.png

Anyway, how did you use AI generated art in your games?

Oh, and please play and rate our puzzle game. Available as HTML5 (web).

Peter OS - Phone is life and its about to crash

Peter spends his days browsing his phone (installed with Peter OS), talking to needy friends, curating meats and clicking on eggs. All the while managing his RAM every 10 seconds lest his phone crashes.

Sell me your game in snappy one-liners or short paragraphs.

Hey there everyone !

I'd like to introduce the game we made this week end,

Morbid Expedition !

We're 4 Video Games Students and we made a Multiplayer Zombie Shooter

Here's a quick Gameplay video if you'd like to see how it looks

https://youtu.be/nLJ1lFjkq1s

If you want to play with friends, you'll have to get your steam app open and you can invite your steam friends directly through the game and destroy zombies alone or with 3 friends (so 4 players max)

Come on and have fun in our game "Ten Secs To Pack"

Hi everyone, this is our work for #ludumdare 51 Game Jam. You're the new staff No.10 in the secret company TOP SCIENCE TECH. Your only job is to pack! But be careful, you must finish it in 10 secs, or something bad will happen... Just kidding, and never be surprised by the strang things!

Is 13Mo too much for a Web build ?

We know that a web build makes it so much easier to test our game, but as of late they all export incomplete or laggy (unity or godot).

So do you have any tips for large-ish web exports ?

Finally got to the long coveted 20 ratings!

Wooooo! Celebration! etc. etc.

But seriously, thank y'all for the ratings! :D

Every 10 Seconds I Find new and exciting ways to hate myself: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/every-10-seconds-i-find-new-and-exciting-ways-to-hate-myself

Finally it's over

Roughly a day later and finally my game has all the bugs fixed and works as intended.

The WebGL build still isn't to the graphical quality that I would like but at this point I have no idea how to fix it. If anyone knows how to realize the graphics on the WebGL build please let me know. Regardless, the downloadable build is how it's supposed to be so I can now put this project to bed.

Excited to see whether people like the game enough to motivate me to make a full post jam release.

If you wanna play my game and leave me feedback here is the link!
