Our of all of the themes you've voted for in the final, which one would get you the most hype?
I'm personally rooting for two themes: Folklore & Tiny Creatures! 🧙🏻♂️🐾
Me and some of my work friends are gonna try this, our first Ludum Dare! Thanks for having us!
YO! Excited about this jam, this time I'll try to make my assets in 3d so I made this pog paint 3d app for myself

This was made really quickly and very unpolished but you can try it out yourself here
Made with Rust BTW :crab:
I'm in, once again.
But this time, I won't be using Unity but Godot. It's have been a while since I wanted to switch engines, as I don't believe in Unity's future anymore and Godot is perfect for fast iteration. This jam will be the perfect occasion to push my Godot knowledge!
Also, as always, I'll be streaming the jam (mostly in french: https://www.twitch.tv/bastienre4). And Spinozarre, my friend and music composer, will do the audio!
Shelter
Break the cycle...!
...Underground, Strange machines, Paths...
...Signal??
Folklore: Overgrown Sanctuary <-- Salvage
(Reflect: Locks and keys, Keep the light on)
Tiny Creatures, Limited space
...Absorb?
Where can I improve?

I can offer the same to you, if you want, just drop me a line! Tks!! =)
If anyone is looking for a FREE tool to speed up their jam content grind
Creating palettes for 2d images or 3d textures

And texturing 3d models models quickly

Works great even at low resolutions with the downsampling tools!

I hope we remember to make a game this year
I am new to this new Ludum Dare format, previously, I created one game by myself, but this time I want to work in team. I would like to do an ultrasonic shooter, where you shoot by bottles, but if you have other ideas - no problem, but the main thing that I don't want to do it unically.

steen jumped the gun, this is the official COMPLETELY UNHINGED "we're in" post
the team this year is SLEEPY, STEEN, CART, ED, N3TT, "YOU ARE MOM"
we're aiming to, yet again, make a game not everyone will like
at least we won't be thirsty
Guys I wish all of us have a good time!

A new engine, a newborn son
One called Godot, one called Quentin
Not sure if I'll get anything done
But still: I'm in :)
I learned a lot of lessons from Januarys Ludlum dare and it directed me to where I should focus on in game dev, this Ludum dare will be about learning Godot, and how it works. along with acquiring a new coding language
I'm exhausted after a very hard month. But a jam to clear my head might be exactly what the doctor ordered.
If I do participate, it'll be with something extremely simple -- like, confining myself to a single screen. Pong levels of simple.
I used to use Unity for past game jams.
Tried Godot for the last one.
Now I'm thinking I'd like to give Stride a shot.
I'm very excited to do Ludum Dare this weekend! I recently had to leave my job and it's led to the most productive streak I've had in years. I'm hoping I can make something I'm proud of this time around with the extra time I have.

Steen jumped the gun and then the original post never showed up in the feed so this is the THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM OFFICIAL COMPLETELY UNHINGED "we're in" thread
This year's team consists of Sleepy (art), Steen (code), Cart (art and code), ed (music and sound) and n3tt (host).
at least we won't be thirsty
also if @chitoyuu is hanging around, hit us up bro, your comment last time made the jam for us
It's been a year since I Ludem Dared. And in that year AI has massively impacted how I work as a developer. I was planning on using: Github Copilot, Photoshop Generative Fill, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT
I don't see anything in the rules explicitly allowing or prohibiting these tools. But how do people feel about it? Does showing your work include showing your prompts? Is there a distinction to be made between using AI for coding, vs idea brainstorming or image generation?
Are there other AI tools you are planning on using in your project?
[EDIT] My bad, there is definitely a clearly stated rule about it.
IMO Copilot should be allowed. I'm much less sure about image generation.
In any case, there should be extremely clear disclaimers about what is, and is not done by hand.
After a mouthful of lasagna, we are ready to get down to business. The five of us will try the Jam format, some of us for the third time in a row !
Let’s hope there will be enough lasagna.
