Finally, I've reached my limit!
Go give my game Function f a try!

Go give my game Function f a try!

For the first time ever I made a (mostly) complete game within the jam. I am extremely happy with how it turned out and was able to polish it for a few hours. Starfold is a 2D space mining sim where you have limited cargo space and try to make it rich out in the belt.
Other than the two charicters and the backgrounds, all the art was made by me. The backgrounds were generated using Deep Fold's Generator. The music is by DOS-88 and sound effects were made using bfxr.

Team Spontaneous Combustion enters Ludum Dare once again with Tetranome, a game where you place Tetris blocks on a small grid to be eliminated by lasers. Thank you to @Takeshi64 and @ijzm for pulling together to make this game!

Hello guys! Hope you had a great jam as well!
Just finished with https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/high-tide-heist!
It's about a pirate who is trying to steal some treasure while the island is being washed over by the high tide.
Meanwhile you need to dodge attacks from the other pirates from their fancy ships.

After the progress I made on my engine the first night, I haven't really done anything. Due to reasons, I have been planning to make some kind of "bullet heaven" game -- i.e. a game involving shooting a lot of bullets at a lot of enemies. But, I haven't been able to come up with a specific theme for this game. That is, until now. I was randomly struck by inspiration some time this afternoon.
So, if I do end up doing Ludum Dare Extra, at least now I finally have an idea for what to make.
Otherwise, I might just see if I feel like playing and rating any games. It's kind of nice to not have to think about getting ratings myself for once.
Honestly so happy. and with the window being small it actually increases the difficulty. Watch your step folks ;3
Hi ! My first Ludum Dare experience (Public). We absolutely loved the atmosphere, and we're really pleased with what we were able to accomplish within the given time frame!
Of course, there were some major moments of stress, especially the last one when we encountered issues with getting WebGL to work on the Ludum Dare website. But not to worry, now we're taking the time to rest and test out the games :D
We can't wait to receive your feedback on our game and explore ways to make it even better !

So it's a game where you collect resources during the day, buy upgrades, protect the Lighthouse from the horrors emerging from the sea during the night. Survive for 10 days. Easy, right?
And the giant Sea Monster will eat parts of your small island every day btw.

Game loop is fully in place just minutes before the deadline. From knowing basically no 6502 assembly, to building an entire working game together. It's a magical feeling <3
It's been such a journey. Yesterday I literally spent three hours figuring out how to subtract numbers. (an 8-bit signed integer from a 16-bit unsigned integer). That's a single character in a regular programming language. Here, it's 8 LINES, and you can barely google it.

We did it! In 72 hours we have managed to code a NES-game with a complete game-loop from NOTHING! All code from scratch in Assembly. All sprites and tiles made ourselves!
And it's avaliable to play via online emulator or by downloading a ROM!

Grab a friend and try it out!

Play as a mechanic and free the people stuck in the elevator.
To open the door, use the diagram (it opens with a button).
Set up all the buttons as in the diagram and the door will open.
*All game resources were created by me alone from scratch

HeadSpace Limited is out!
Play it now : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/headspace-limited
(or after you had some rest)

I normally host our games on our website (https://teamspontaneouscombustion.github.io/games/Tetranome/) , but this is my first time using Godot 4 and it shows this error.

I managed to save our release (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/tetranome) by hosting it on my own website, but I can't find a fix for github pages.
I'm hosting it as an inside github pages.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, something came up, so I lost all of Sunday, and today I only had a few hours before the deadline, but I am proud to have managed to complete a product in my first ever Jam. I apologize for submitting a placeholder game; I hope next time there will be time for testing, sound, and graphics as well.

I can’t wait to try out your creations; they can only be better than this one :D
