We had a very limited time to make this entry, but we are quite happy with the result!

Just published my team's game jam game, "CRATE ARCANUM". Had a lot of coffee, lack of sleep, and fun creating this! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/crate-arcanum

Our second LD that we did together is officially over and our game Need for Space is done and uploaded. You can grab it over here:
First off, all levels are doable! Yes, it gets more and more difficult. Yes, the car physics are not realistic and yes, you get stuck pretty often. BUT, as I said, every single one can be completed. As reference, here's a screenshot of my personal times.

Making a car in UE5 was much more difficult than we expected. The first 1 1/2 days got wasted to simply make it drivable. Everything else regarding the car was just a bonus. Some things worked, some things didnt (changing car engine sounds while driving. Yes we know how monotone it sounds). For whatever reason the car seems to have all wheel steering, even though steering is only activated for the front tires. A lot of things we could've changed or fix if there was "only one more day". But we're still happy with what we've done. It's wonky, but it totally works and can be completed!
See you in April

So, our first game is done! Some bugs, but hey..it's done and uploaded! :smiley_cat: Can't wait to see all the games. Congrats to all the uploads. And now, time to get some sleep...

Curse whoever thought it was a good idea to have cyberpunk phantom liberty and ludum dare in the same week. I spent a few hours Saturday night playing the DLC when I needed a mental refresh.

Learned some new things but also feel like I didn't achieve everything I wanted to. I think I'm gonna challenge myself to complete what I had planned within the 3 week jam and see how much more I can get there.
Socket management is neat! First time actually using 3d models within unreal, so finding out I can attach other actors to the model akin to equipping a weapon was a neat mechanic! Also fits the funny jank I enjoy implementing.
Assigning patrols to enemies is not really challenging at all but I didn't have time to learn and fit in some sort of enemy AI
I always get stuck figuring out where/how to start with level prototyping, need some more tools/ideas to practice with
Looking forward to next Jam/game idea I want to go for a full fledged story driven adventure game? Silent hill inspo? - Dialogue - Basic inventory system - Event triggers on interact - Puzzle design!
It's really funny!
get ship version:
I have the index, and it works fine when i run from the browser. is it how my files are arranged??

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/u-trip We are enjoy it but it not perfect.

That was fun! Came in with very low expectations, learned a lot, and produced... something!

Despite scrapping my first game plan with 24 hours left, I did it! I finished my first game jam! :D Is it a masterpiece? No. Am I proud of it? Definitely
Joining the jam was a really good experience and taught me quite a lot - Especially about my weak points
That means time for the most dreaded part of the jam: rewriting the tutorial after playtesters had no idea how to play. Happens to us almost every Ludum Dare...

We had some troubles, this being the first game jam we did and all, but it was really fun programing and drawing it!
Come play it!

Now just remember how to do it...

finally got it working for lets say ... most cases ... come play our game ... we have some beers and plan on drinking them while we rate other games now
 :beers:  :beers:
Hey guys! I made a simple Tetris game in Unreal Engine and the build files amount to 3.7 GB somehow, I guess all the assets are really heavy (zipping only makes it 3.4 GB, I don't really understand how that works...). Anyway, anyone has got any tips? :)
