I think I came up with an idea which is really easy and fun. Should be able to get done this weekend got my brother on music.

a few interesting thematic ideas but basically all variations of the classic Paperboy. standouts: Dimensional Delivery: player delivers packages through portals to other dimensions that all have different laws of physics. Quantum Courier: They have to use their knowledge of quantum mechanics and wave function collapse to ensure that the packages are delivered to the right place at the right time. Secret Agent Delivery: basically metal gear solid, but Snake delivers the boxes he usually hides in.

Not my first choice but also not my least favourite. The hard part I always find is trying to find a game-play mechanic that matches the game, rather than purely slapping on some themed graphics. After about 5 ideas I think I picked one, just need to see if I actually have the skills to pull it off!

i think this Ludum Dare i'll take the obvious route for the theme and gonna make a (food-)delivery based game. Normally i try to go a littlebit exotic with the theme, but i got an idea for a game already and i really like it :3 Also, last Ludum Dare i wastet A LOT of time on getting any idea, so i'm quite happy to have something already this time :D

It is a drone-based organ transplant delivery service, working title could be D (for drone)-Liver-y. The only problem is that the only way for the drone to carry the organs is with a claw machine claw. It would be an I am Bread/I am Fish-style rage game that combines soft-body physics of organs with flight controls of a drone with the infuriating claw mechanics of a claw machine.

It's a remake of my first LD game, Courier Panic!. I'm going to make it in 3D, with actual controls this time. If you're curious, you can find it in my Ludum Dare profile!

I was going to make a game where you drive a truck in 2D and have to prevent the items from falling out, but that felt unoriginal. Like there would be at least a dozen games with a similar premise other people made.

Instead, I'm going to make a 3D fantasy game where you have to deliver a magical orb to a wizard or priest so he can use it to perform a ritual to banish the demon lord from the kingdom. It'll have Super Mario Bros 2 inspired gameplay where you have to hold the item, which affects your movement and jumping. You can also throw the orb to attack enemies or to move it past a difficult jump that you wouldn't be able to pull off while holding it. There may be other things like using the orb to weigh down a switch or standing on it to reach higher places.

I really wanted the It Spreads theme, it was the funniest idea on my list. I'll just stick with this idea, just making something for fun ^^

I have come up with an idea that should hopefully be pretty straightforward to implement, with the bulk of the content coming down to writing, of all things. If all goes well it should be a nice little story to play through, not a very high stakes game, but with some good vibes overall.

I do hope to finish by tomorrow evening. It will be interesting to see if I can pull off anything good in that time.
