Propmaking
We might have made a terrible mistake going for an idea that requires so many props. On the plus side, if I clip the dresser into the ceiling it becomes a hanging cabinet!

For the first game jam project something simple and familiar is preferable so this project is not particularly complex. Unpredictable Shapeshifting is about being a hunter who sometimes turns into the prey he is seeking. When in hunter form you seek wolves and when in wolf form you must avoid the hunters.

I just finished to develop the main core mechanic of our game! A sanity system that will take over the player and attack the NPCs that he wants to protect when it reaches to 0

It wasn't the most fruitful day, to be honest. I got bogged down in controls/feel. I haven't quite got it right yet, either, so there'll be more of that tomorrow after I finish building out the world and set up more the game loop.
Anyway, I'm tired now.

So I wanted to create Tetris, but without walls. So you had to balance the bricks on each other, and if a brick fell you lose the game.
Then through some Google searching, I found Tricky Towers, which was EXACTLY like my idea but from the looks of it a lot more polished and fun.
Now it's back to the drawing board for me...
We turned our Ludum Dare 43 game Deadline of the Dead into a full release. It's called Zombie Admin and it's about a regular working day in the zombie apocalypse.

I think the driver will go mad :D

Here is some more final concepts on two of our enemies :)

This will be my fifth entry into ludum dare and im very stoked about it, this time we are back to a massive team size of 9 so that is gonna be a fun challenge as always, I wish you all the best of luck as we head off for our first game jam lunch
All day on art, all night on music - I don't think I've been quite this creative for many many months... :D
Art Team Progress.

I'm definitely making something. Not very original yet, but I have plans.

After the night of the brainshtorming, we decided to combine Flappy Bird's and Unblock Me's mechanics.
First concept was something between Flappy Bird aand Tower Builder, but we found it is too hard for player to control bird and build blocks at the same time.
Then we finalized our idea and produced some concepts of how it may be look.
The player must extinguish overheating rods of the nuclear reactor using a flying hose.
So, we stopped at the last option. I think, first prototype would be ready in 3-4 hours. Any ideas how to call the game? :smirk:
Progress update

I have an idea of a city builder on unstable ground. You have to build a large functioning city without the whole thing falling over. Currently all I can do is place buildings and move them, which should be enough.
Hopefully I'll get tiny people moving around that can effect the balance, and maybe some weather effects to screw things over.
Hi, we are streaming our project on twitch : https://www.twitch.tv/robindbois1
Half of the team is in Belgium so the stream will be in french and english when other teammate are there!
We are making a little sound game with a little space surfer

Looks like most ideas are about keeping unstable things stable. Is anyone making a game where you are to destabilize a stable system?
