mockup's almost done
just needs the UI elements, then I can start bringing it all in to Godot
boy i haven't even coded anything yet and i feel like i need a nap lmao

An aesthetic begins to emerge!

Unique device, that will help (if we will have time to add it, lol) to save a nuclear reactor

He requires some bones to make him stretch more controlled but my boy is getting there
I really like the meditative feeling i get playtesting my game. Enjoy :)

I hope you're all doing well, there's still plenty of time.

Making some progress today. Added a box of bottles that can be filled with whatever's in the pot as well as a trash that can be used to dispose of bottles or empty whatever is left in the pot.
Gonna take a short walk to clear my head and then try to figure out what I should do next. Thinking of either:
1) Adding more ingredients/aspects to the potion making
2) Adding some sort of shop system or win/fail condition
3) Or maybe working on the graphics and adding some better UI
Best of luck to everyone

I'm pretty happy with the actual progress of the Jam ! Making a relaxing game in a super-tense world !

The track and UI are coming together for my racing game!
Full game description: Fly in a spaceship race where your ship (and those of your opponents) are slowly falling apart! In order to ensure you make it to the finish line at all, much less in first place, you'll have to pick up parts along the way to not only repair and refuel yourself but also make upgrades! A more aggressive choice might propel you to the top... or sink you to a DNF. What will your strategy be?

Now to work on graphics and SFX!
(sorry for low framerate)
23 hours and 30 minutes in, not even halfway through the Compo, and I think I might actually be able to finish everything for once! Going to have to take a break, I have non-gamedev stuff to attend to and I've been working on this for several hours straight. Just have some mathematical logic, losing ability, story, and audio implementation left, plus a few other misc things I won't mention because I'm not going to reveal anything about the project that isn't in pictures. Almost all of the audio is complete and the project is designed so I can implement the remaining things quickly and easily, so I might actually have some spare time to whip up a quick credits song or something.

What with how good at overscoping I am, it seems kind of weird being able to possibly actually finish something. Guess it's time to go do something overscoped like make a full CGI cutscene (I might actually be able to do that and it still wouldn't be overscoped....) or a complete redo of all of the graphics.
Only a little over a day left in the Compo, everyone! Good luck finishing those Compo projects!
Making a second post because my screenshot on the last one was bad and the Edit functionality seems to be super bugged. Enjoy the better screenshot!

Core mechanics are basically complete, tomorrow we'll be adding some fancy stuff to make the gameplay loop enjoyable (including cards, achievements and highscore counter!)
By the way, be careful - even the cows are aggressive.

The main mechanic is done and the sample level is working. Nothing else is even started yet. Need to cut some corners and stop polishing shaders.
:heavycheckmark: story idea, :heavycheckmark: player, :heavycheckmark: player movement - keyboard and controller, :heavycheckmark: level building blocks, :heavycheckmark: shaders,
:x: main menu, :x: ending, :x: player visuals, :x: levels, :x: fail state info, :x: music, :x: sound, :x: level background visuals, :x: polish, :x: a few other things...
This game focuses entirely on dialogue mechanics and talking to people, so I made a nice dialogue system so I can focus on the characters primarily!

Gotta drop out for this one for mental health purposes. Hope to come back to this one day though.
