Created a new Title.

Surreal Visions. Might change it later. Also ignore my last blog post; didn't come out right for some reason.

Here's our tactic for the jam. How to work in the most effective way?

30 hours are left till the end of the jam and we are still fighting. Today is the laziest day of the work - we have of course already done a lot and are about to do much more, but the real crunch will come tomorrow. This is a tactic we have developed in the course of doing a few jams and we think it works the best.

Let's look at it on the example of a 72-hours game jam such as Ludum Dare. On the first day we develop the game idea and work really hard to implement as many mechanics as we can. We also think really hard on the gameplay and how to reflect the theme in the game's mechanics. On the second day we work a bit slower and take a few longer breaks. We focus on finishing most mechanics as well as adding some of the content. The primary goal is to finish a demo part of the game with something so that the testing may start. On the third day we polish the mechanics and add most conent, and then polish the game if there's time. Usually there is, luckily.

Do you agree with our tactic? Or perhaps do you have a slightly or entirely different approach? If so, please share your thoughts with us!

By the way, our game will be called "Psycho Beaver" and we hope it will be fun and very trippy! If you have made it till this point I advise you to remember the name of the game and play it. If we finish it of course! :D

Good luck guys on your entries and thanks for reading!

Un-Stabled is Coming Along

Hey yall, Un-Stabled is still a work in progress, but it's coming together nicely. Still 30 hours to go! We're excited to see what everyone else comes up with!

Got another name for our game

Surreal Visions. Its a working title.

Also keep having trouble publishing blog posts for some reason. Weird.

Finally done!

After a long weekend I've submitted my first game to a game jam! Baby steps, but I'm proud of what I made https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/49/crash

I think I'm done with this jam. Not exactly proud with the result, as the gameplay is not very interesting. But I certainly did learn a lot, so hopefully will do better next time. Check out Unstable Asteroids
