Die Sitckman! DIE!
this timer is too fast! :(
this timer is too fast! :(
And I'm officially calling it done for my compo submission.
I had a blast putting this together and it's been great fun getting feedback from friends and family enjoying the game.
So now I turn it over to you!
Sure it's goofy, there are probably some bugs buried in there somewhere, and I hope nobody tries to use my atrocious code as a starting point for anything.. But that's all in the spirit of the event and I hope you are having as much fun as I did!

Thanks for playing!

Does anyone know why this happens? Unity 2019.4f29, using 2d physics. I've raised the iterations up to 80 and tried nudging a few other values to no avail.

Anyone have a script or know a service for making a skybox from a photo? Not looking for anything fancy. Thanks!!
edit to update. I WAS having some trouble getting images embedded

Needs to be jpg. Problem solved

And here I am, chugging along and hoping for people who are going to play my game tomorrow to be in the same mood as Sonic

Hit a bit of a wall in my progress last night trying to figure out how exactly to go about about things and then woke up this morning with a headache that's been fading in and out. I don't think I'm going to make any more progress until it goes away and I don't believe I'll have enough time to finish my project once it does. I could've maybe gotten something done by the Jam deadline, but I let the date for this event sneak up on me and forgot to request the Monday off from work.
I am however happy with my idea and what I was able to get done compared to the only previous jam I did. I enjoyed making the potion bottles able to be filled with different colors and be thrown around the screen. I would like to finish my game, but I'll do it later at my own pace.
Gonna work on getting more experienced with my tools and working on improving my workflow so that I'll be more ready for the next Jam.
Good luck to everyone still working!
I hear logic is coming along, but some bugs and quirks need to be fixed and / or decided to be sorted out.
The UI is graphics are "finished" but I should really start implementing them, 'cause the timer is ticking

For my first jam, I think the speed of my progress is quite nice but I need to buckle up and push on the gas a bit harder cus I have to make more levels and a menu then fix some code! If all that gets done then its time to make it pretty!!! I'm also streaming my progress on twitch come check it out at https://www.twitch.tv/lingpai

Ngl I am very proud of my submission this time. I think I did very well especially considering that my first day didn't go very well (scrapped my initial idea etc).
This is the first jam I actually invested a lot of time into making a proper cover image and even a trailer. If you want to check out my game the link is https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/49/number-fission.

and with 4 hours to spare!

An alchemist is attempting to brew the most revered of the elixirs, The Nectar of Life. This recipe is the most dangerous and challenging known to us mortals, and it won’t be an easy task.
Type the ingredients as they come up in the recipe, and hope you’re fast enough that the roof doesn’t blow up into the sky!

Play it here!! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/49/unstable-concoction
For this jam we are going with two different genre, a platformer mixed with match 3 mechanics

It will be difficult to balance but fun I hope
lots of things to do...
I took time to write a nice bgm but don't know how to post it...

A wise man once asked if we should be concerned about overpopulation tipping an island over. Turns out he was right!

The game loop involves placing buildings based off taskings WITHOUT tipping the island too far and losing your buildings to Neptune's depths!
I managed to finish well ahead of time so working on polish and refining. Currently have multiple game loops, full functioning menus (pause, options etc) and a game over screen that lets you hide the UI for screenshots. Pretty happy with the progress. There are a few polish things I will work on then look at potentially making a third island.

This is our old and wise pineapple concept!

I'll make new levels until the deadline.
