Come on in, it's good music and good vibes :3

Actually tried playing against two AI (human is pink) and one of them tied me!

The AI is really more just choosing valid moves at random. Map is too wide open to really need much strategy tho, need to improve the mapgen a little.
Fun to watch it in action tho: https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@joeld42/112273228342006614
:rocket::bomb:

I don't know if I'll make it with less than 24 hours left. Going solo with most of the development is tiring. But these are what I got for now...

But there are some nice animations (not pictured)
Most of my time so far has been spent on gesture recognition, but I have got it in a place I like it finally.
Going to be a little mobile-focused cooking game where you summon ingredients by swiping out patterns.
Aiming to make it look nicer in the coming day :)

I was not prepared for how hard this would be. This was also my first release in Godot. I am proud of what I was able to accomplish, and I've been blown away by everyone's games so far, keep it up, Jammers!

I might have overestimated what I am capable of making solo in 72 hours. I am likely not going to finish in time, but at least I learned a lot about Godot, so I still consider it time well spent.

already playable ... lacks some polish though, tonight was pretty fun

Pretty much just what the title is asking, I'm not quite at the point where I can make a build to test, but I don't want to waste time uploading a web build to ldjam if it's not going to work
Protect your tower by summoning minions, summon minions by mining for ingredients, and survive for as long as you can!

Stayed up till 4 last night working on this! I'm really happy with my art as this is the first time I've made something at this scale. I tried to make the mining controls feel really fun, but also have some limitations to create strategy to the game!

My Highscore - 7,328 ```

Can you save the planet from the bad bugs? Summon your OWN!
Game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/bugs-vs-bugs

Hope you enjoy the game! This is my first Compo entry EVER. It was tougher to pull it off than expected (almost went crazy).. anyway, Have Fun!
Dev notes: - [Day 1 post here]: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/bugs-vs-bugs/the-theme-sucked-until-it-didnt-day1 - this is the final Compo (Day2) post - any other posts will be for a post-compo version - I ran into deployment issues yesterday, now the game is playable without downloading too - Didn't get several features in... more on this in later posts
Come on innnn

Can't believe I've went on THIS long without Ludum Daring but this was such an experience, can't wait to join in on many new a jam w all the awesome people I've met! Uw-

Did you know that we did all of our visual art? It was very fun to come up with different ideas and how to incorporate them both visually and via gameplay. And Godot Engine is a great tool to experiment with it!

Check our out game at this link!
Akino's Dungeon: Pick Skulls, use Melee familiars to kill. Feed demon Akino to get its strength and wipe out your foes!
and it will attack your enemies

Well, this this has turned into trying to get behavior trees working for the first time. I've gotta say, after the initial setup, they are pretty cool! With more time outside of a jam, think you could get some powerful AI behavior in nice manageable packages.
I'm still learning the nuances, but can already spot reoccurring patterns in the trees, which means I could definitely refine my creation process further.
I'm using the jbt library and integrating it into my engine. The current AI isn't amazing, and still sadly lacking an ingame way to adjust the behavior (aggression etc.) but it's good enough.
I'm going to spend the remainder of today on the graphics and submit a Jam entry.
