Curse You – Finished?

the GAME!entry link

Finally! I can’t believe it, even my game is too simple compare to the others. I hope you can enjoy this 10 seconds.

Thanks for all friends at IGDSHARE, they are a wonderful indie game dev community in Taipei, Taiwan.

On the Run Submitted

Well, I didn’t get a chance to work on it more today like I wanted, but luckily it was at a pretty good state yesterday. Just skip the intro screen, nothing happens. 😛

Aaaand I’m done!

Such a great feeling!

After a bunch of almost-failed entries, this one went almost exactly as planned.

The packaging (I’m using python, with Cocos2D and thus Pyglet) went surprisingly well (at least, on Linux XD) with the new version of Pyinstaller.

Now I just need to fire up a virtual machine for the windows build. Then I’ll try to make an .app for Mac users!

I’ll also hit you with a full-blown post-mortem of the compo, and with my second timelapse video for which I’m still processing the images.

Cheers everyone! Get some well-deserved rest and be ready for the voting madness that is to come :)

LD25 – Run out of time!

I wasted a lot of time on engine stuff that should have been completed before the compo even began.

I seem to do this every LD. Oh well.

I’ll continue on with my game until it is finished however, possibly entering it into the Jam!

You’re not alone in this matter :)

Done!

I’m done! I’m not super satisfied with the results, but I’m done and that was the goal for this competition, to finish. I will later write a postmortem for this entry. Also I’m going to upload the timelapse soon!

Evil Lair Submitted

All right! My game is submitted. At the last minute I added a simple betting mechanic and that makes it a little bit more fun. I even had time to throw in a little goat.

Check it out!

Next time link to your game. Good thing we can see it in your profile

Done!

Sirtet is done!

The AI could be a lot better if I had a couple more hours but it’s definitely not random and the game is playable.

I’ve decided to submit to the jam for 3 reasons:

-It requires an Arduino Mega (haven’t tested but probably won’t run correctly on the Uno because it uses slightly more than 2KB of RAM) which means (almost) no one will be able to play it.

-I might have broken a rule, not sure. I used a self-made library (a very simple one) without declaring before starting. I did share it on one of my posts.

-Since people won’t be able to play it I *need* to upload a gameplay video. Its uploading to YouTube right now but it’s 400MB and will take over an hour, which means I’ll only officially submit the game tomorrow.

That said the game *is* done before midnight and I even took care of showing my clock on the video for the sake of honor 😉

I’ll zip the source right now and upload tomorrow.

Submitted!

Submitted. My first time, so who knows if it will work (didn’t have time to even test stuff, as I finished at the last minute). Had a lot of fun, and learned a ton. Next time I will better prepare by doing the warm-up or something. Anyway, you can see it here.

I’m finished! You can play it now!

After 47 hours and 56 minutes, I have submitted my work! You can play it right here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-25/?action=preview&uid=15753

I had a really fun Ludum Dare, especially this being my first. I hope to see you all in 4 months, assuming the world doesn’t end! 😀

My first LD submitted!

Yes! What a ride!

Little game called “I am the Bankster!” was born!

I had a lot of fun! I got a chance to learn lot of interesting stuff about game jams, and stress test my little engine.

Game also ended up quite nice! You take a role of bankster, and collect money from villagers(middle class workers…), until you are hunted down by occupy wall street activist…(witch wield swards for some reason…).

It sounds boring but it plays like action game.

(I also managed to record some sound! )

Now lets rank same games!

The Cacophony of Completion

By the skin of my teeth, finished in time. I think there’s still a bug in the submitted version that stops “ambient” people from following their movement paths. But the game itself seems to play through fine.

Big congratulations to everyone that has made it.

8 minutes to spare.

I’m done. It turned out decent. I think I’ll stick with programmer art next time. Drawing is exhausting.

Go play and vote

Goodnight

Submitted, and Won

My game is better than Black Ops 2

Black Ops 2

Black Ops 2 sucks. Play my game instead.

In for the jam

Sadly i couldn’t keep up with the deadline for the 48h challenge, so i might as well try to submit the game within the next 24h for the jam challenge.
Despite the fact, that i failed to finish my game in 48h, i had great fun so far and made considerable progress.

Here are some screenshots from the current version:

I’m going to bed now. I’ll try to finish my game tomorrow, after getting home from work.
So long, have a good night, and congratulations to all participants who finished on time :)

24 hours to go!

It turns out working in a team doesn’t suddenly make everything easy. With all this school and real life getting in the way progress is slow, but at least we have a pretty game so far. I’m hoping to get the rest of it coded tonight and work on polish tomorrow between classes!

Pay no heed to the red cube

Pay no heed to the flying red cube..

Wanna crush planets ?

Phew ! right on time.

Because I was so late, i had to make this game goatless. I’ll post a goat version as soon as possible, after I’ve slept a little bit.

If you want to try it out –> PLAY

Hope you’ll enjoy this :)
