And here you can see the V.1.0.4 previous version. I still working on the update so I made a walkthrough.

Added a simple but funny splash screen and i´m working on these damn spikes! Everybody hate them, and me too 😛

If you like it, don´t forget to play it here:

Last chance to rate DROP IT!

The end (of Ludum Dare 32) is neigh 😀

We would greatly appreciate if one of your last few ratings went to our game: DROP IT!

Here is a teaser gif :)

And here is one of the most positive review videos we got for the game 😀

Oh and BTW we will keep improving this game and we plan to eventually publish it to Android and Windows Phone :)
One of the changes we made so far was to make the main menu less … um … lame, so here is what it looks like right now:

And here is our team’s website in case you want to follow up with our stuff: http://nulldies.com/

Save my game! Rescue Rangers?

My Voice is My Weapon has 18 votes, and only needs 2 more in less than an hour!  It is a web based game, best on Chrome I think, and doesn’t take long to play.  Thank you!

I’ll review it now for you :)

Beermageddon Post Mortem and 3D Remake

Thanks everyone for awesome ludum dare! For me this LD was more chaotic than the last one, all thanks to exams that I had. Never the less, I think that enjoyed it more like this. With only 24 hours to make game (because I had exams same day LD started), I gave everything I got, and I am proud what I finished. Game wasn’t polished, had several bugs, and didn’t have deep story, like my last entry (7 Days of War), but i think that I did it better then last december.

I really like my idea, to get people drunk while shooting them with beer, so i turned my 2D game in 3D voxel environment. This is my first time that I used Unity 3D powers, and first time to do anything in 3D as a matter of fact. Here is the link of the new game so you could check it out.

Thanks for rating! i rated all your games.

Save Lucid!

I still have to cut up Twitch videos, but I thought this game was neat enough to save it. Do it, please, for the humanity! 6 ratings left!

Thank you for playing and post mortem

Minutes to LD32 end and I finally made my post mortem xp. I edited my entry with it and I will post it too. Of course everyone is always welcome to take a look at it~!

Post-mortem:
First of all thank you for all of you who played/rated my game! I was really nervous since it was my first time but I got surprised by the positive feedback ^^.

Again, as my first game I had lots of limitations such as lack of skills and just inexperience. Still I’m proud of what I was able to do and happy to make people have fun with my work.

What went well:
– The concept of the game came really fast, which made possible to start programing ASAP.
– Programing was smooth, specially because a lot of code (and engine) of my training to LD was useful to make this game.
– Pixel art, although very simple, I developed my skills while drawing them.
– I was able to make a lot of weapons and make it chaotic, which was the plan.
– The time management was quite good. I was able to get decent sleep and eat well. Of course more time would be better, but I prioritized my health to make to the end of the jam. I got a bit behind the schedule but still delivered most of what I wanted.

What went wrong:
– Pixel art, still needs improvement.
– UI didn’t seem quite helpful.
– Sound and Music, still need to learn how to make them properly.
– Bad AI, need to learn more about implementing them.
– Collision detector is not quite right, I assumed most objects to be circles to make implementation easier but it doesn’t seem right

What’s next:
– Study more!
– Develop more the engine
– Practice art concepts
– Learn how to use a music/sound maker

I’d love some last-minute feedback!

The clock is winding down, but there’s still time to rate a couple more games! How ’bout one of those be mine? It’s too late now for me to play all of your games, so here’s what I’ll do instead: if you rate my game in the next few minutes and leave a comment, I’ll be sure to leave a comment on your game in LD33. Promise! :)

Just played, rated and left a comment :)

Ideas about voting and rating

I’ve got 2 ideas about the voting and rating process I want to share and discuss with you!

The first idea: Wouldn’t it be helpfull to get random games presented at the top of the startpage?
This would help to find games that aren’t on the “play and rate games” site, because they’ve got about 50 votes or have not enough votes! This little section, maybe one line with 4 games or something, would be generated everytime you load the site.

My second idea is, that it would be nice to see who votes on my game without commenting, so that I can vote and comment back.

Thank you for reading this and good luck for the results,
ruerob!

Waiting for the end…

This is my first LD. I had a really good time. I gave out 51 votes and received 40. That’s enough for an unfinished game, I think.

I apologize for not being able to play games of everyone who voted for mine. However I realized 2 things when rating games (that’s my own thoughts; you can disagree XD):

1. Use Windows (if possible) when playing games. (Most participants add support for Windows first and some are available only under Windows. I had a hard time playing under Linux before rebooting to Windows…)

2. Accept those complaints (if possible), since they help you make your game and your skills better :)

Well, guys, see you next LD!

Just wanted to add on to #2. Constructive feedback is always great (“I liked X, but I felt Y was lacking”), but purely negative replies that reveal nothing about the nature of the game are unuseful (“This game sucks”). Anyways, Congrats on your first submission!

Aaaand it’s up!

Thus ends my first Ludum Dare. It’s been a really cool experience to create something concrete in such a short space of time. I got 48 Coolness and 45 votes, which seems pretty respectable. Even though the rating period has ended, there’s still nothing stopping you from playing Quality Television.

(That said, I do have a question: how long can the results be expected to take?)

We’re still adding more Ludum Dare Let’s Play videos

Hey guys. We know the ratings are over, but we’re still adding more videos to our massive Let’s Play videos. We’re now up to 119 videos, and still counting! Check to see if you game made it in the huge play list below:

Also, thanks to everyone who rated Star Driller Ultra, as I have indeed met the 150 votes goal.

Results are in!

I WON GO HOME
