TFPS Online!

IndieGoGo Project: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/tfps-online–2#/story

TFPS Online is an immersive free-for-all tactical FPS. Your actions depict the end result. With tactical equipment and weapons, you can create your plan to win it all. With a variety of equipment. Smoke Grenades, Flashbangs, Regular Grenades, The “Seflie – Stick”, Claymores, and Laser C4. All this equipment will help you plan your strategy to kill every other hit man in the building. With one map(In Development), and a load of enemies. Also included is a Vent System in which the player can use to travel, hide, or plan out traps. Gamemodes are Last Team Standing, and FFA.

With time and Concentration we can get all of this done. I hope you guys look into this as we are deleting the demos to non playable and are only going to show images.

We need $500 USD. The reason is we need to get better equipment so the game can look more defined and atmospheric. We also are planning to port over to CryEngine, and we need money to buy a commercial license. This money will also help for assets we can buy and use scripts to put into our game! If you support you will get premium inside the game and on the forums! You will also get a tag that glows green and looks like [GoGoSup+].

The Impact will just be a nice community driven Tactical FPS game! There are no risks or challenges we are planning to proceed upon currently! But we will update if there is one!

Now all I have to do is make it fun

Something you can try to break!

Here is the prototype of the game i am making for the miniLD. Ill start building levels after some time. So please give it a try and tell if you can find bugs. The only control key is space(or mouse) which swaps your character between 2 layers. Animals will stay on their own layer and so colored blocks. R for restart. There is an end door you can reach but it just restarts the map for now.

And what are your ideas about the problem “when you swap while colliding with a block on the other layer”. Should i complately disable swapping while colling with other world?

Either disable swapping, or make swapping into walls kill you (if you want to go the hardcore way). But making you bug around and possibly glitch through walls is not the way to go, I think.

This is a really cool idea! Very excited for the full version. I was able to reach the exit without using any keys, not sure if that was intended. I think if possible it should push you to the nearest empty space when you swap, but that seems error prone. probably disable swapping. one thing you could do is add a physics effector to the swappable blocks that pushes things away from the center.

Game making

It’s fun, but hard work.
(this post is only so I can easily find my past submissions)

Dimension Drifter (MiniLD#59 entry) first view

Here is a very first view of the game I am doing for MiniLD #59.
I wanted to go 2D and make a plat-former adventure/puzzle game.

Release 1:
The idea behind this game is that you the player are in this multi dimensional universe.
You can travel to a different dimension by going into the exit portal.
Each exit portal has a entrance portal into another dimension/universe.
The only way you can get to the exit portal is to navigate successfully through each level.

Release 2:
For the second release of the game I want to give the player the option to edit or create his own level in a specific dimension.
Then all levels created by players around the world will be linked together and so give the player the change to play other peoples levels.
This can open endless opportunities.

For now here is a preview of my game so far:

Here is my MiniLD59 entry.

I put in some mouse controls really quick, which seem to work.  I’m not sure why the keyboard input wasn’t working, but it wasn’t working on itch.io either.

Did anyone ever make an archive of all the images.  I downloaded about 60 from the swapShop.  I provided alpha channels for about four of them, mostly because they were really nice, but looked terrible with big white boxes around everything.

Dimension Drifter (MiniLD#59) second preview

Hi all,
I made some good progress last night with my game Dimension Drifter.
I finally have a nice UI look and feel. Also added keyboard key support for the menu’s.
So with no further ado here is the video:

O yeah and here is my sprite sheet:

One thing I see from watching the video is that I think there should be a way to progress between levels without going back to the menu.

Simple, Low Level, 2D, Graphics Library for WebGL.

Hi LD, I’ve finished what I’d like to think of as my first release for a webgl graphics library that I’m using in a game engine. I thought that I might post it here, for some opinions and possibly to help someone. Here’s the link to the code.

The library mainly automates a few basic tasks to assist in graphics for games.

  • Context Creation
  • Shader Creation
  • Texture Creation

The library also adds a template for a drawable object, to clean up rendering code.

Documentation and examples are included in the gist.

New game on Itch.io

My first Javascript Game. It is no where complete.

List of things to do.

  • Title Screen
  • 1 Second wait before ball moves
  • Music
  • Game Over Screen
  • Multiple diffuculties

didn’t knew about Crocotile. might serve some projects i had in mid.

what format is the export in the end ? an obj file + textures ?

My game “The Walker” is done!

Link to the entry page.

Check it out. It is a one-button puzzle platformer-ish game with a story i made up. Which includes a cursed magician named Margus and some cute poor animals. I have plans about making this thing longer and make a build for android on this summer maybe. Here are some screenshots.

And my sheet. Forward and backward shots are bad because i dont use them in my game. (Sorry ! BP)

There is no sprite swap button in the game. Sorry I have tried but it didn’t end up well.

This is the second game I have made for LD. (My LD32 entry) On Bird Quest I had a good plan for story but at the end there was no story in the game. This time I added some dialogue boxes to each level even though the game actually not so related with that part of story. So tell me what you think about it. I will try to play all entries for this miniLD. Thanks for reading. Here are some map plans I drew.

I’m in!

Fizul

I just realized there was a MiniLD going on Friday so I guess I kind of didn’t post anything while I was hurrying to finish my game! So I’ll officially announce my entry now that it’s done, my game Fizul!

It’s kind of a rogue-like with a card game for a battle mechanic in a randomly-generated dungeon. I had a bigger idea than what turned out, but what the hey, I figure, if it weren’t for LD I probably wouldn’t have attempted at all! :) Good luck to everyone, this was lots of fun!

(As a matter of fact I had to learn to deal with PNGs since they were mandatory, so definately a unique & fun compo)

MiniLD #59 sprites

I really couldn’t finish my game, because stuff came up this weekend I really wanted to take care of. However, I did eventually upload my sprites to the Swap Shop. I’m…not THAT good at drawing sprites, but with any luck someone will find them interesting.

It’s done! :D

It isn’t often that I make games which have some type of metaphorical meaning, but whatever.

Here’s what I made for MiniLD #59, “Nothing To Hide”:

In short it’s about uncovering who you are… Literally.

This was also the first time I got to make a timelapse of my game development!

Made with Keeyai’s awesome tool, ‘Chronolapse’.

Anyway have fun with this.
