Gonna be actually submitting this time, screw Pygame nonsense. I’m using game maker for this one.

I want to be in…

I’d really like to join in the compo again (I did it three times, never finished my fourth and missed my fifth), just not sure I’ll have the time this weekend.  If I do though, I’ll be using:

Unity/C#

Paint.NET

Audacity

SFXR

Hope to see you all on the weekend!

Really nice art, that would make one hell fine of a wallpaper too. Good luck for the jam :)

How…… How you do that……

Maybe

I dunno how I feel about this.

I might make something. I might not. It’s been hell of a busy start of the week. I’m exhausted. People are coming over this weekend. I had hospital visits yesterday I’m tired from. I just don’t know.

I might make something. If I do it’ll be with the standard tools I use. Check my previous posts to see what they are. I’m not repeating myself. I didn’t even vote in one round. I’m tired.

So if I’m in, I’ll make something. Depending on the theme.

Stay tuned.

Or not.

I may be in

I just got back from the UK and am horribly jetlagged, but I might be able to participate

#in

I’ve got to prepare for Jamchester next month so I will be participating in LD#35

I’m using UE4 mostly blueprint only projects.  If there’s time I’ll do some of my own art possibly with Blender.  I’ll try to record some sound effects too, maybe some backing music with Ableton Live.

Very maybe possibly in

I’d like to participate in the compo again this time, like last time all the omens are good at this stage and the weekend is theoretically clear except for a few hours on Sunday.

70-80% sure I’ll be using Unity again especially if the idea I have calls for a lot of 3D, although I’ve been meaning to get back to basics and go full retro C++/OpenGL for the sake of more C++ in my portfolio.

However, I still like being able to produce web builds so I have a feeling this will sway me over to Unity even if the desire for cheap and cheerful 3D doesn’t manifest.

As always I will aim to have as few non-code assets as possible. Also, at some point I will definitely say I’m going to do music for this one, and then probably run out of time for it.

It should be. I’ve posted details in the announcement post.

I’m In

After missing the last Ludum Dare and then not doing so great on the one before that (time constraints and poor planning), I’m ready this time to make something happen.

Sixth time in LD, but…

Hello guys, this will be the sixth time I do something for Ludum Dare, BUT, will be the first I do alone. I’m trying to get a different experience this time – not the other times were not different. Actually, me and my friends always try to do absolutely different things one of another, and this gave to us more vision of what it work and what not work in a LD game. And the principal to get a successful LD game: focus in only ONE goal to your game. Fun, feel, beautiful art, etc. It’s a short time, so… to give our best, we have to focus in a single objective.

You can see my older LD games here with something that I learned of each one:

#1 – My first game, made in Flash – this was before I learn Unity. It was really hard to get finished. Too much things for a flash game in 3 days.
Do Androids Dream of Freedom

#2 – My second game was not finished – still in flash and a bigger mechanical scope – yep, doesn’t work.
No link  :(

#3 – A catch-up local multiplayer game – it was a very fun game, and made success in local events but… who test in LD community is alone, so explains the low ratings. Keep that in mind for your game. I’m not complaining, I liked to have done it. You just have to know the ways to achieve the goal of your game.
Catch Pet

#4 – A battle game based on turns with some kind of “guitar hero” mechanic. – I did not participate in the creation and planning, I only did the animations. So… here it is.
The Last Walker

#5 – A samurai killer becomes a monster and terminate all your enemies in front of him. This was made by me and only other friend. So, the only goal was really needed. Fun in gameplay. We reached 9º in Fun with this game. :)

Good LD to all!

Attempting Ludum Dare for the first time!

Hey, folks. Thought I’d go ahead and state my intent to join in the fun for LD35!

Pretty sure I’m using PICO-8 for everything, as it’s been an outright boon to my development process.

Looking forward to it!

<3,
Roe

We’re in!

Aloha, so me and Foxel are in again. This time we’ve picked up a new team mate (Joe) and we’ll be entering the jam. We’re hoping to achieve a basic playable game and not to overcomplicate things for ourselves. It’s only possible if we try though!

The tools we’ll be using:

Language – C++

IDE – Visual Studio 2015

Library – SFML (SimpleFast Media Library)

Audio – We’re still figuring it out…

Art – Flash (most likely)

We wish every other person taking part the very best of luck, and hope everyone has an awesome weekend!
