Our game is shaping up nicely. The world size (the circular area) is your health, and it shrinks if you idle or take damage from enemies. You can grow it by collecting health and killing enemies! :)

Wow I'm so impressed with the progress @angas-smith and I have made coming to the end of two 14hr game jamming sessions hehe~ There were quite a few bugs at the start that we had with gravity on a cylinder shaped world, but it's pretty much under control now! The art is amazing holy moly, thanks to my teammate! I've made a couple background audio tracks, which are pretty neat and being able to talk with anything is also pretty neat! Good luck to everyone doing the compo and the jam!!! :D
I can now build canons!!!
I've finished up the game, 9 hours ahead of schedule - Rescue stranded Toy Soldiers with your RC Helicopter!
Had to reduce initial scope a bit due to a poorly-timed flu (no hardcore 48-hour sprint for me this time), but all things considered I'm pretty happy with what I've ended up with!

My friend and I have finished our new (and first) game (For the Jam). It is a world that has been pushed together. The Soviet Onion and the United Grapes of America have been pushed together and are sending spies into each other. Your mission under the great Joseph Onion is to kill all enemy spies in the Soviet Onion. Then make your way over to the United Grapes and kill the leader, Franklin Beetroot-sevelt. You are given special abilities through the power of the Soviet Onions. Enjoy your quest to fight for honor and restore glory to the Soviet Onion.

This is my first time doing a solo compo game jam, but I think it turned out quite nice!
I purposely kept my idea very simple, but it actually turned out to be a pretty fun game :)

You can try it out here: http://gamejolt.com/games/TWAYF/251647
I'm done! And with time to spare.
I might add more to it if I get some ideas, but for all intents and purposes it's done:

Along the way I've learned that if you don't guard against it, then putting things into a full inventory can cause a stack overflow, that my programmer art is getting better and is somewhat passable, and that a topographical map of Sri Lanka looks kind of like an Avocado.
36 hours after me reading the theme, my game is done.
It's a small game in which you steer a vessel based on sonar data. The game is mostly about enjoying the story and the mood though.

This game was my first ever Compo entry, before this I only did the Jam, with a team of friends. The biggest challenge to me was sound design, because I designed my game around having minimal art.
I in the end decided to go for a sound design that may not be the nicest to listen to, but that does the theme of the game really well; I use a single low bass drone note, with, on top of that, notes based on the sonar of the ship. To keep it listenable, I decided to keep all the sonar notes within a scale.
In the end I'm quite happy with the result, and actually finish with some time left.
Added animations to the player and updated model
Implemented hook and rope, you can now pull blocks towards you

Unfortunately I won't be able to finish in time for the compo, hats off to those who were able to :tophat:
Just a snapshot
This is my game for Ludum Dare, Escape the box is a game were you are a cube and need to escape a block world by getting past traps. All what is left is ironing out the major bugs

Level 1

We woke up around 7AM today by Rasmus coughing himself to the point of death. "Holy shit" I thought to myself, If he dies I can take cred for the game. But without him I would not be able to continue so I magically made him stop coughing for now.
I heard something funny rolling on the floor, so i picked it up. It was a bottle, and inside the bottle i found a GIF. So here you go; a early version of the game Infecteria!
The game is at a stage were we could go for a nap whenever we want to and wake up a few hours before publishing.

I'm in again, have been working on this entry since yesterday in the morning and am nearly done with my share of the work.
The game is extremly simple and not as fun as I would like it to be but at least I got something done even though I didn't feel creative or productive at all.
here a screenshot of what I've made so far:

The idea was that a beehive is a small world of it's own, but sadly I didn't really manage to get this feeling translated into gameplay or graphics.
I said I was gonna go running and work on art.
Instead I didnt run and worked on music. YOU CANT KEEP ME AWAY FROM MUSIC! I LOVE IT TOO MUCH.
Anyways here's my finished background piece

MVP build is done

The game idea are found while drawing the sprite. The game code are created while getting an artblock. Jumping between code and drawing is kinda fun. Will be dedicating the last day for the script and face plate. Good night everyone~!
Things are starting to come together ..erm I mean shatter apart!

After 1.3 days we have something...

My game has been complete since 6:00AM Sunday morning, but the game page isn't allowing publishing yet, so if you want a sneak preview of my Compo entry, TARJECTORIES, you'll have to head over to my website.

TARJECTORIES is practice for an artillery duel on a small planet. The planet spins, there's gravity, ballistics, you have to be lucky and use trial/error to hit. Destroy all targets to clear a level and advance. Don't accidentally hit yourself, or it's game over!
I'll be writing up a "postmortem" of my weekend later.
