World of cheese – gather Hamster Kibble, then find a nice flat spot to eat it. I had planned to do a giant hamster head in the UI, with inflating cheeks the more you gathered, but ah… Time..
Featuring some retro wave style synth music.

Good night and good job everyone!
Jam it is then.
Again, at the daedline, I have a barebone gameplay working, but just a tad more and it as actually enjoyable. So close.
Last time, I erred on doing detailed design and art first and leaving the core gameplay coding till later. Having learned from this, I thought that well, there is a decent idea, why not just make a simple roguelike, never done one, but it can't be that hard... turned out to be slightly more complicated than expected. Good fun learning, and gameplay is almost there, but lacks in art and sound... let's see tomorrow.
I finished just under the wire. Setting up the page here and on itch now!
Hey everyone, here's my first Ludum Dare Game, made in 48 hours for the compo.

The Barbuglio just woke up. And he's pretty angry. Quickly bring him what he asks for by exploring a Small World of 5 islands with your jetpack, and he may spare you.

I just finished up my first entry into the Compo portion of this event. Its a procedural exploration of a submerged cavern from within the small enclosed world of a single seat submarine. Can't wait to see what people have come up with!

Compo submission Escape the planet before the meteor strikes! - posting past deadline because website went down. - You can Check the timestamp in the archive to verify I archived the game before the deadline.
Controls - WASD, Arrow keys, or Left Joystick to move - A on Joystick, Y on Joystick, or Spacebar to jump - Mouse or Right Joystick to aim - Jumping while running up a slope jumps higher - Clear large distances by walljumping, its stronger than you'd expect.
Story
You and your friends live on a peaceful world, filled with spikes and saws. Today, an imminent meteor strike has interrupted the tranquility of your group, and the group has split into two sides over the dilemma of who to send on your one-person spacecraft. Assemble the spacecraft and escape the catastrophy before the other side steals your parts to assemble theirs!

Play SmallWorlds here :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/smallworlds
Well done and good night everyone!

Spending two days working on a softbody planet and collisions with said planet may not be the best way to spend your LD time. At least I have been working out the gameplay on paper in the meantime. Time for a few hours of sleep.

Just finished my first Ludum Dare! A little more than halfway through, I scrapped my old project and began another. In less than 20 hours, I built a game I'm really proud of!
Just sharing our progress with the ground pound function, and character controls. Comment and let us know what you think!

Testing GroundPound function
I have finished my 4th Ludum Dare game! This time it surprisingly isnt a walking simulator(!), but a 2d platformer in space with rockets and stuff. This is also the first time I have real music in my game (its horrible) made with the awesome tool Bosca Ceoil. Summed up LD is awesome as always!
Game Page

My game to be honest is nothing but cutscenes. I went to ambitious, so theres no real game. But watch, in the months that come I'll continue to work on it. Then I'll have a complete game. That's when my game will shine. But here it is anyway:
