Blast off for "rocket ship"
Good luck to all last-minute compo jammers out there! You can do it!
I'm done. Does not quite work as intended most of the time...

My hand-drawn 'puzzle' game, A Relatively Small World, is finished! Play it, and let me know what you thought!

Not much gameplay. Kinda like Creative mode in Minecraft, but on plane and with bigger parts. Tiles are just MagicaVoxel files, so it's easy to create/add new.

Well crunching numbers when you have Jam brain-numbness isn't much fun but the work paid off.
It's a simply controlled resource management game, with a narrative involving the colonisation of Pluto - the small world.

If you have a play let me know how it treated you!
The game is complete and ready to be hosted. Source code is all checked in.
Working on creating the builds now.
There's always a bunch of stuff you wanted to do but just couldn't fit it in. But hey, I made a game about Pluto and a Roman myth, so I'm happy.

Check it out over here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/$17741
Hope you all had fun! :D

The Teahouse was fun to work on, I wanted to make something relaxing it ended up not really being a game but it's peaceful and nice to look at.
The fish use a custom schooling algorithm I have been wanting to write for some time and act naturally grouping together and disbanding quite fluidly.
I hope everyone enjoys, even if it just helps you wind down from a big games jam :)

I know all you compo people are pretty much all finished already, so as a jam person I'm really impressed. My game's not even close to finished! Wish me luck as always!
Behold my programmer art! You'll see tons of this stuff in the game. That's your spaceship right there! :grinning:
Seriously though, resource gathering works, and I'm ironing out bugs in trading. The little ship token is also lots of fun to just move around randomly for a few minutes between the planets. I've also implemented the line-of-sight system, drawn a ton of icons, and recorded more sound effects which I can't wait to share.
This alien teenage badass, called Stok, has some extra line of sight :astonished:
Next steps: when trading is finished, I'll need to implement the win conditions, and a few more player bonuses. Then I get to code the AI! Which I've already coded stuff like pathing for so I should get it done. Then add in random events. Finally, the combat system is deadly simple but I suppose I'll need to code that too.
What I may or may not have time for: music, multiplayer, tutorial (I've been putting up tooltips everywhere though so maybe that'll help any stuck people). Also I'm not sure I'll get all the card-art done. There's quite a few cards. I've written like one music piece so maybe that's something.
Anyway, good luck to all you compo folks!
Am I allowed to ask someone to make a Mac from my Game Maker project after the compo has ended? I don't have access to a Mac or a Mac export module, and I would really like my game to be playable multiplatform.
I've published my entry, Low Orbit:

Try it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/$15950

Unfortunately I failed to finish my entry before Compo ends. I cleaned up stuffs and uploaded a merely playable version, but that's it.
Trying to render the whole game with procedural meshes is, uh, as hard as it sounds. I tried my best however!
It's called Fat Cats and it's an Global Warming, Anarcho-Capitalist, Party Game.

You basically try to push the other cats off the ledge in a "free for all" fashion in order to be the last one standing and build your company back from "Liquidation" HA!

It's 4 players (1 keyboard 3 controllers/4 controllers)
Although it is playable solo in a really unfair campaign mode where if you die..

Surprised I kept up saying it was my first jam, great experience anyway
Sadly, it turned out just like I thought at the beginning. I got too much sleep and my idea was too ambitious. But We're done!
Happiness
Sorrow
Rage
These are just some of the many emotions we feel throughout our lives. But what if they all
Disappeared?
Many years ago, the Gods of the world removed all emotions from people, deciding that in order to reign supreme forever, the human's shouldn't feel anything.
But that all changes when Miyuki, a girl, is caught up in the godly affairs of Yuu, and the two go out. In order to free Yuu, you release the emotion of Loneliness, and after that decide there is much more to the world than it seemed.
This is the story of Emotions and how they affect our lives.
REAL TALK: This is completely unfinished. I kenw I wouldn't be able to finish in time, so for the last 2 hours or so, I cobbled together a shortened version of my original ending Idea, so the game doesn't feel right. I really wanted a good story driven game, but it just isn't that impactful considering how it is presented. Still, hope you enjoyed
-Kataware.
My first LD entry, happy that I managed to get a game finished. Collide is an endless runner style game where you avoid obstacles as a high-speed quantum particle. As well as dodging obstacles by moving, you can put your particle into a superposition, occupying two places at once to explore two different paths.

I finished my game about two hours ago, and I'm glad I did, because it took that long to figure out the website uploading process. Are there just not categories to opt out of? :cold_sweat:
I just finished my first game! :grinning: Time to sleep :relieved:

While there are still a few kinks to work out, the basic features are all in place
Hey everyone. I just finished my game for ludum dare 38. As expected, I had to leave many features behind and move on because of the time constraint (sigh, I'll just get used to it, cause I am sure going to participate in all the upcoming ones :D) and because I had my college exams :(. But, I tried my best , and here goes :

Here is the link to my game - https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/last-breath
Please try it out :D and also comment your views I'd appreciate to know how you all thought about it.
It seems I didn't install Windows build support when I installed Unity.
Installing it now so I can create a Windows build.
