Mini Planets is out!

My computer spent so long compiling, I thought I wouldn't meet the deadline!

Play it here. I'm knackered from all of that hard work.

Boxed

You are a universe in a box, trying to make it through block holes to larger worlds, but avoiding the entropy that threatens to be your death.

DUCKTRON - Done!

YEEEEAH I finished

Super happy with how everything came together

Looking forward to a couple of weeks of playing y'all's entries !

Day 2 - Level generator (sort of), cards, and a freakin' hook!

So, after 2 days (the 2nd of which I overslept :p ), our game's slowly coming together. The Level generator is killing my colleague (glad I didn't touch it), and I've implemented a card pickup system (cards which you pickup with effects, and you can use them to use the effect) and a grappling hook, used as your main weapon on enemies, and also to traverse around the map faster. Hopefully we can get some nice art for the third day, and round off everything to make a nice little game.

Pale Blue Dot

Logo.png In Pale Blue Dot you have to defend a vulnerable small earth from incoming waves of asteroids.

A WebGL build of the game is playable here: http://ldjam38.kiroth.de/

A Windows Build can be found here: http://ldjam38.kiroth.de/PaleBlueDot.zip

The Unity3D project files along with the graphics can be downloaded from here: http://ldjam38.kiroth.de/LDJAM38.zip

Use WASD and Space to control the ship

This was my first ever game jam I took part in. The game was created in Unity3D, with it actually being my first time using the 2D tools it offers. This game is far from finished, but it is somewhat playable. Sadly it looks like something broke in the builds, as destroying the asteroids, animation, going back into the object pool and so on works fine in the editor, but doesn't at all in the WebGL and Windows builds. If anybody has a tip why this happened, let me know. As I have no clue about how to make good sounds, let alone music, this game stays silent, but as we all know, there is no sound in space.

Tools used: Unity3D Photoshop CC Visual Studio 2015

(Note to self: next time do not start binge watching Suits on Netflix parallel to Ludum Dare...)

Tiny Invasion Finished!

Screenshot from 2017-04-23 16-08-26.png Finally finished up, didnt get to add in everything I wanted to but oh well! Made entirely in linux with unity's new experimental build

Done.

The day has come to leave the earth once and for all. That obviously needs great artilery skills, how else would you know where the launched ships end up?

e3scr.png

Ships color means its destination. Red ship goes to the red planet etc. Click to send a ship in that direction. You get 20 points for delivering a ship to its destination, lose 5 points for wrong planet, and lose 10 points for losing the ship.

Each ship costs you 1 mil population, and your population also decreases over time. When you run out of population, the score is shown after all the ships arrive to planets (or sun).

I aimed low but atleast I hit!

Star Color Gradient

Online Gradient Generator

Used the online gradient generator linked above to try to find a good color set for procedurally generated stars. Translated this into a Unity gradient manually.

little BLAST planet - Ludum Dare Entry is online!

LD38-00006.gif

You can play the game on itch.io right now! Here is the LDJAM page.

I managed to have a little over 24 hours to work on this entry, because of scheduling, but I'm happy to have finished another game. It was quite fun getting all the sprites to orbit around a single planet, maybe if I had more time I could have gotten planet hopping to work, but that's another idea to expand upon later.

And I am done!

Super proud of this one. My fourth ludum dare compo and I am honestly quite pleased with how the whole thing turned out!

doing s-mol

smolMainld.png

s-mol can be done in 5 steps:

first, you want to make something even though you are small

second, you try to bounce around ideas

third, you need to sleep suddenly and long

fourth, you have to tune in completely

fifth, you should miss being small

s-mol can also be done in 47 hours.

I aimed for something simpler than what I normally make, but it's one of my least stressful jams ever!

Posted it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/lovebug (Site's not working for me apparently, though)
