After about 2 hours I've finally got my game idea - and what's more, I think I may even be able to finish the game in time!

A Small (Post-ApoC) World

You play as a military commander and have to save the world - a la missile command style. You can move the screen left and right and the world under you rotates. There will also be some small resource management like the Kingdoms games, sending drones out and getting people to do work.

Let's see how far I get this time ..

Wow! My first LD has been exciting! So, I took the theme and decided on a small-scale space survival game with tower defense. Game work is so different when you know exactly what you're trying to do! It feels harder in a different way, and like it's doing more! Good luck and good night, everyone!

I'm in for the first time. Already lost a few hours due to time zones and will now lose another 4 hours because of work. But no excuses, It will be fun to see what I can get done. Will use Unity and Photoshop. Let's go.

...though I don't know if it'll be an actual game when I'm done. I'm hoping to get something working with Vulkan, but that means a lot of boiler-plate work before you can do any rendering - plus I'm flying from the US to the UK tomorrow.

Aiming to get a little animated/spinning planet, will see how much I get working graphically and then worry about gameplay.

Oh, and I'm using C#/Vulkan, with maybe some GIMP/bfxr/Abundant Music.

Good morning from London, UK. I've just woken up and I haven't finished my coffee yet, but I have started! Currently sat with a notepad brainstorming some ideas.

Seems like my game will be about Christopher Columbus. I think I am onto something here!

Still can't upload gifs, so...

So, I remembered that the biggest problem I've had with doing an LD is that I cannot art. Seriously, my daughter asked to be the hero of my game and this is what I drew:

But my daughter can art! She can art real good! So we're in together, doing the Jam!

It's 7 o'clock in Denmark and we just woke up. This time I'll be jamming with my girlfriend, which should be interesting. We dont really appreciate the theme, but I'm sure we'll find an interesting angle :).
