Small World Adventure

So the moment I read about the theme, I instantly had an idea, I used to play with my brother that our room was a city, and our toys where citizens. So I thought that the room, should be the map of the world, and then the different parts of it would be the puzzles/levels. Lets see how it goes!

Lunch Break

Alright, off to grab some food.

The first Ludum Dare where I didn’t plan out everything in detail but just rolled with it. Feels good!

Graphics are pretty much placeholders and most game mechanics are still missing. I want this to be about exploration, so let’s see what I’ll come up with.

Fish Game

After a few hours of floundering (ha!), I've finally come up with my idea.

So to a fish living in a fishbowl, the bowl is their whole world, right? What happens when the fish leaves the fishbowl?? What happens when the fish leaves the fishbowl via jetpack??

So that's my game. Fish gets a jetpack and leaves their tiny fishbowl to try to escape to the ocean.

Probably in, we'll see

So, another Ludum Dare is upon us. Haven't had much time to prepare for this one, mainly due to my job taking up all the available time.
But damn it if I'm not going to at least try to get something small done.

Been writing up a small framework over the course of the week, this time built around multiplayer as a core, so going to try and figure something out that can be played over the network.
Not going to have much free time during the weekend either, but hopefully I can spend at least ten hours on something.

The best of luck to all you other guys though, hopefully you'll end up with more time to build your masterpieces.

Progress!

I've decided I'm gonna make some kind of physics puzzle game about balancing stuff on top of a tiny disc-shaped world. You play as a giant (normal-sized?) god, and you push stuff around on top of the disc to try and keep it from tipping over. Animals will reproduce, forests will grow, towns will spread. Mountains and stuff will get in your way when you're pushing.

Anyways, I got the basic movement stuff working and a proof-of-concept for the balance system.

Still working on the name.

Shakey Road

things are going ok. Just ok im having some problems but im planning on doing a unique idea unlike some peoples 'fish bowl' or 'table' like ideas its going to be unique. Im hoping this isnt too much and I wont have it ready for the end of the Jam. Im doing the Jam not the Compo so we shall see.

Game in progress

Have finished a couple of animations for the character as well as getting him to move around.

I recorded a .gif here.

Progress!!

After spending 3 hours contemplating not participating because we couldn't think of an idea for the theme we finally have progress

little red planet.

Things are starting to work!

We already have a little red planet. https://gfycat.com/WideAnimatedCowbird

I'm In!

First Ludum Dare for me and my teammate but we're chugging away at a fun little idea.

I'm in!

I'm excited to game jam with my friend Fennesz :)

I'm in!

Long story short, i had more ideas for "One tool, many uses" , but i can do with this theme too.

Being a subatomic particle

Life is hard when you are a subatomic particle. In this game you are a subatomic particle. Your life is hard.

I've been playing a bit with this idea. I'm trying to incorporate the different mechanics I posted earlier into the game. Initially I'm adding a way to show the uncertainty of position. The faster you go the fainter you are.

Again, I'm not aiming to be physically correct at all :D

Growing thingy

I don’t know what I am doing, but I am having fun so I guess I am doing it right? http://i.imgur.com/qtX4gX3.gif

A Small World (For a God)

This is my first ludum dare, so I'm excited. Basically, I'll make an RTS "God-mode-protect-ur-subjects-from-monsters" game. For me, even completing the game would be a big achievement.
