Third hour progress

After 1 hour of thinking and brainstrom this is the result: https://youtu.be/dzKSnuvwkYY

Now it's 00:51 AM and i need to sleep and wake up early tomorrow to work better

Good luck to those who will stay awake

Stucc

Already having a difficult time coming up with something to fit the theme... We'll sleep on it for now, hopefully we'll dream of some good idea??

It’s awake!

Good morning everyone! My alarm rang at 05:30 AM here (look at what you do to me… you cruel monsters) in germany even though the official event start was at 03:00 AM – but a man got to sleep. So now I start! I went shopping yesterday and got some energy drinks, frozen pizza, cereal and chewing gum which means that I’m off to a fucking (is it allowed to swear on this platform?) fantastic weekend! Good luck everyone :) – Anudin

Alrighty then

Wow, it's always a bit disconcerting waking up in the morning in Germany to see other people well along the way with their game and already heading to sweet sleep after some busy hours.

Small World, not my favorite theme, but let's get crackin' :)

I'm in!!!

This is my 7th jam and I'm teaming up with an awesome group of devs to make a cooky fun game! :D

We are in!

I am excited to be participating in this!

Not sure what else to say for now. Stay tuned :)

After 3 hours..

We realized we aimed a little high here, well at least we realized on that fact fast and we are going to low the expectatives and will keep trying to finish it!

Making progress!

So, the deal is that you are limmited by the space you have. All you know is that you are in a underground bunker and that you take damage as soon as you get too far away from the light.

The good thing: you are a engineer! You can build light sources! The bad thing: energy and resources are limited by your environment. Use them wisely!

Concept "Lock In!"

Well, it came down to a choice between an epic goldfish battler and a city building puzzler. I went for the city builder, but part of me will always regret not building a boss battle against a beta fish...

I'm relatively happy with my concept, but I've never built a spatial puzzle like this before, so that should be interesting. Hopefully it turns out fun. It's worth a try at least.

Now, to sleep on my design decisions and wake up tomorrow with a great idea how to implement this concept.

Good night everyone.

Already working on it! + Stream

I have an idea about a game that tries to show you that even small worlds are important, I don't know any details yet tho.

I decided to stream my progress for now, may take a few breaks from it, or even completely abandon it, but it seems that being watched keeps you motivated.

For now I am doing basic graphics, tiles, and simple two-frame animation and later this morning I will be composing some music for it all.

I hope to have all this done maybe before 10 AM because I would like to get to coding by then.

WIP of my first Jam

First Approach

So I'm not sure what I wanna do for sure, but for now I've made a little thing where you are the god of your own small world. I'm thinking you'll be able to build things in it, but idk where the gameplay should come from. It's inhabited by this little guy named Jorne, maybe I'll do like an "Interactive Buddy" thing where you can build dangerous terrain around Jorne and send enemies at them? screenshot

I realized that I have to add something the player can interact with for this to be considered a 'game'...

I'm in!!

Hello everyone, I just joined the compo now! Good luck for us all!

I'm Late!

Yes! The excitement of moving out of college! Except that I must do this LD, because I enjoy suffering. So yeah, I'll make something during this weekend, while packing and moving my shit out of the dorm.

Wish me luck.

Keeping It Simple

PROGRESS SO FAR: Player Movement-Done. simple AI that follows player-Done. Simple Particle Effects-Done. Lot More To Do. Hoping to finish in time;). Unlike last time where i had a huge idea that i could not finish.
