Timelapse!
I have been looking forward to making a time-lapse video so much that I've done one already! Here it is:

Basic gameplay mechanics are in. Essentially, you have to avoid the obstacles while your player is getting faster and faster. It’s a very simple game idea, though I like it.

Okay, so I'm making a memorization based police chase game. https://gfycat.com/DistantSlightBluegill it took me a good while to get the movement exactly how I wanted. The rest of the game I can compromise on. As of today, I'm trying to get the car textured, then I'll start designing the small city.
First LD Jam! Lets see how this goes...

I'm in, assuming nothing comes up this weekend. I'm making a game about having limited memory.
The madness that is.
I just spent the last three hours or so setting up my capture card so I could develop LD38 on my new (to me) Mac laptop. But, no go, due to this: http://i.imgur.com/LTF51CI.png

Ok, I have the game planned, level designed, and the first three enemies mocked up. Time to sleep on it for a few hours.
Problem after problem, I can't even drag a texture over.
Pretty sure that I'll implement some movement first. I dunno, having a bit of a crisis on determining if this game is "too immature", but hopefully people will get the not so secret reference to a secondary character in another game.
One big challenge that I'm seeing down the road is viable objectives. I'm struggling to think "Catching objects in a booger is hilarious and could be fun, but how does it relate to a small world? Can these boogers house the perfect combination to create small microbiomes? We'll see I guess!
The shell of the adventure is planned and the little hero isn't ready for bed.

But I am.
I'll be honest, this was not the theme I would have picked - but after brainstorming with my teammate Clothos I'm really looking forward to digging into this one. I'll post more on what we're actually doing tomorrow, but tonight Clothos got our protagonist and main enemy concepted as well as designing level layouts, while I worked on some pretty basic prototyping just to make sure our idea was doable. To bed for now - peace out, jammers. :)
First draft of game design generated after some experimentation with audio. A bit worried about the scope of this idea, may have to bank it and consider alternatives. 3hrs in, 4:50am!

Time to create a small world in a big weekend!
Well, I've been watching Unity tutorials at 2x speed for the past couple hours while brainstorming ideas, and I think I'm ready to go. Let's see what happens...
Just took a short break from my game and went to check out some other streams on twitch! REALLY COOL that we can do this! Helps grow the community bonds! Cool ideas coming out so far! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
Good morning everyone! My alarm rang at 05:30 AM here (look at what you do to me... you cruel monsters) in germany even though the official event start was at 03:00 AM - but a man got to sleep. So now I start! I went shopping yesterday and got some energy drinks, frozen pizza, cereal and chewing gum which means that I'm off to a fucking (is it allowed to swear on this platform?) fantastic weekend! Good luck everyone :) - Anudin
After playing a concert, and about an hour of brainstorming, I've finally got a concept to be proud of. This is my first LD, so I'm pretty excited! Time to juice up and hit the grindstone.
Tools:
Unity
Cubase pro 8
Photoshop
Done a few jams, but my first official LD. Will be using Unity and Pro Motion. No ideas yet, but shan’t be long!
