While creating (programmer art incoming :p) this little penguin in swimwear, a new game idea came up to me, so... I guess I'll just follow my instinct for this jam :D

Hello, brullov is here. I am looking for a coder to make a great game together. Here you can check my latest works: http://pixeljoint.com/p/83681.htm
I’ll draw fast high quality stuff, the same progress I’ll wait from you. The game is going to be a RTS. Other details we will discuss privately.

Brain stormed, came up with the idea. Have familiarized myself with p5.js and p5.play. Going to host my game on GitHub pages when finished. Got some boiler plate working. Time for sleep, food, then implementation.
Toolset:
git
HTML
JavaScript
p5.js
p5.play
Atom
GIMP 2
FL Studio
Audacity

We finally got going around 9:30pm or so. Nailed down the concept, then started on implementation.
I charged Kenneth with building up the input handling system while I fell down two separate rabbit holes (looking at scene management tech, none of which seemed good, and looking at logging tech which ended up being more convoluted than helpful). Once I stopped messing around, I finally got to sketching out some of the game systems in the ECS. We're using "specs", which is a rustlang multi-threaded ECS and it's a pretty interesting project. Sadly, I lost a couple hours thanks to the docs and examples in the master branch being woefully obsolete. ProTip: when looking at the specs project on github, immediately flip it to the tag for the release you're using.
Still, I close out the night with a simple screen of the ECS in action (more or less).

We're a team of 6, 3 programmers, 2 artists, and me, a designer.
Our concept was hard to find, a lot of debate within the team (duh, 6 people, of course). But we're finally on track, and one of our main inspiration will be The Little Prince from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a french writer!
We'll be using Maya and Unity :)
Good luck to everyone in the jam !
This is my first ever LD and it's probably going to be my first game, ever! fingers crossed
I don't know what I'll be doing or using, but my plan is to get some sleep now, and start up in the morning.
:nerd::fingers_crossed:
So after ~an hour trying to build a weird small scale physics engine I decided to chuck it all out and just use polar co-ordinates to handle the players position. it has worked as you can see from the following gif: http://i.imgur.com/29LP7jh.gifv
Jade's in!
For the sixth time.. Lets do this!
Tools to be used: Java, libgdx, intellij, Gimp, Piskel and probably a few more like bfxr..
I'm actually really pleased with this theme. Loved some of the other ones but this one just feels right. I tend to think visually so I started doing some pixels in the grix and looked at some of my old stuff for inspiration.
Huzzah Everyone! I am in! :rocket: Relatively happy with the theme too. :D
My tools: - Unity3D - Inkscape / Gimp - Audacity / Beepbox

Realllly a pity that we cannot share images/vids on the blog. :/
Thought of my idea! Basic art is done... about to get ready for programming it :D
So, Ludum Dare seems to be a great opportunity to finally create something more complex than Tetris.
I will be building an age of discovery (15-17th century) inspired game, where a player completes various quests like circumnavigating the globe, establishing new trade routes and exploring new continents.
Visually it would be something like Stardust.
Getting to work now!
Hello world
Hey guys I'm back for a 3rd time, hoping to come in at the least the top 100 this time lol

Tune in and give me some motivation
Bit of a late start to my first ludum dare, but better late then never!
