In Temperance Ruin - Post-Jam Edition
I made a post-jam edition of my dungeon crawl game, with plenty of balance changes, and also sound.

Play it here! Make sure to check out the map templates!

I had 0 experience making games, 0 experience modeling assets and 0 experience 4 days prior to this when my friend said I should make assets for him. So I hit the books and here's what we made. I'd like to think that I've made a lot of progress from following a forest asset tutorial for an hour to trying to flesh out the interior of a car at 4AM and accidentally putting a phallic hood ornament that was supposed to be a monkey. Interestingly enough, since most of my learning took place over the 72 hours you can actually see my progression from the very crappy textures in the bar scene to the parked car obstacles.
Definitely give the game a shot and tell me what you think of the graphics and how I can improve
Play :pointright:here:pointleft:
While I feel like I've developed my skills, I know there's a lot for me to learn and I'm excited to work on new projects in the future.
Pic is a small scene I made after the competition.

The final level is a fair bit different now, I’ve tried to make it more of a challenge and more necessary to keep topping up your magic/arcanum to keep the numbers of the monsters down.
I have also tried to lower the particle amount, so if you’re on a low level PC please let me know if you still experience lag.
I also tried to make the UI a bit easier to see and understand.
Thanks everyone for playing and for the helpful feedback!!
Slick graphics are a surefire way to have a game that looks polished. But for the art-challenged developers out there like myself, what are the options?
Shameless plug: please rate my game :-) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/a-stack-of-gifts
I've found there's another level to "polishing" and some easy things (which admittedly I skipped out on a few myself this time) one can do. Here's my top 5:
Hope you enjoyed my top 5 cheap polish tips. Now go rate some games, including mine here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/a-stack-of-gifts

hey, if you have nothing to do and feel the need to poke hordes of rats, feel free to check out my game, ;)

Almost there! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/the-adventures-of-marty-graw
I'll be doing a post-mortem over the weekend, as well as returning some of the ratings I've gotten.

Destructible terrain has been implemented! When a planet has zero targets on it, it becomes vulnerable to destruction, and you can blow craters into it. Now, if you really need to, you can blast through a planet blocking your clear shot to another planet behind it. It'll take a while, tho!

Chaos Dart is now playable in browser!

I'm a lazy dev who refuses to update jam games! But hey at least I could re-do my old terrible logo / cover !
Here's the new one!:

For anybody curious about Grooblins...
It's a short (like 2-3 minutes) narrative game masquerading as a weird tamagotchi knock off. Give it a shot! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/grooblins
gotta get all them grooblins!
Thanks for so many feedback , it was my first Ludam dare and it was a great experience looking forward to participate in the next one! ,
BTW I need 7 more reviews to reach 20 ! So leave a review and a comment here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/the-digger

Well, the title says enough actually. Insomnia (the current version) is an extremely short (1-2 minutes) Android game that I conjured up for the Jam.
I already have major stuff planned out, though I'd probably make it a sequel rather than change literally everything. Plus the code of the current version is messy.
Anyway, if you can spare a few minutes, play Insomnia (WITH AUDIO thank you very much) and give me ratings and maybe even comments!
Thanks a lot.!
P.S. Here's a screenshot!

Back with the 5min reviews! Check it out!

So some people were saying the download size was quite large. And I agree. So I went back and got rid of all the unnecessary folders and files to make a smaller version! The download size has gone from 409MB to 172MB. Still probably quite large compared to most Ludum Dare games, but this seems to be the smallest I can get it. There also may be a slight performance boost to those running Potato.OS due to the removal of motion blur. dunno if it will actually do anything but I guess we'll see!
Did I mention the game lets you kill Pepes? Check out Tiny Bullets here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/tiny-bullets
Give me some feedback on my first (rather horrible) attempt at making a platformer.
i'll be playing games of everybody who leaves a comment with some feedback as soon as I have time (Finals are next week so time is kind of non-existent, but I'll play all of your games who leave me a comment. All and any feedback is appreciated, the good the bad and the ugly. I'll read it all and learn from it.)
(p.s. I know about the physics and collision detection bugs.... I'm sorry Q_Q) (p.s.s. Read the warning on my post before you play, thank you)

If you haven't played and rated this game, come and get some fun!
I want more ratings and comments to let me know my game better! If you help me, I will also help you by rating and commenting your game :) Let's play some games, shall we?
