When I saw the theme, I despaired. I really didn't want to do this theme. Seemed dark and icky and I expected most of the games to be full of morbid ideas and black humor. And while there's nothing wrong with that (I've seen some interesting stuff so far) it's not my cup of tea.

So I spent some time thinking about how I could subvert the tropes as hard as I could while still holding to the theme... and this is it! Bright, colorful, full of gold and silver. You play as a good character doing good things for good people, and nobody suffers for it!

Your people have lived on an island rich in gold and silver for generations, and they love you greatly. But now, monsters are invading the island! You have stepped down from heaven to protect your worshipers from the invaders, but your divine power depends on the sacrifices of precious metal that your people offer up to your altar.

Your objective is to build a space station and gain 1,000,000 discovery points so your agency can develop the technologies to fly to the moon. Sacrifices must be made in the rockets and modules you choose to get the most discovery points with your money.

Once upon a time there was a world called “Marziphon”. One day a giant meteor hit the ground and effected all the people with magic around this world. Nightmares and non-stop sleeping issues was effecting all of the Marziphonians… That was the day for “Onnm” to create a safe city called “Intyham”. “Onnm” used a highly strong magic for making the city evil-proof. But the magic was too strong even for the world, because of that world start cracking and losing itselfs balance. Underworld reached the way of surface. When the “Onnm” tryed to save his people he got beaten by a Evil himself.

After the “Onnm”s death, magical power of the city started to decreasing. The people of “Intyham” began being slaves of dark-world. But the afterall some residents of “Intyham” melt “Onnms Wand” into pattern of stones and created giantly high magical powered rampart to secure city from evils. After that day none of the evil be abled to pass through that rampart.

Hello great people of fantastic community. We're very happy with all of your great comments.

We had some small gameplay issues that have been fixed now. Still we got some resource calculation balance and fix needed when we fixed the day/night cycle the core calculations got mixed up but it doesn't change any gameplay experience.

Anyhow the game is now more playable. Hoping in the close future we're planning to add all the features that we mentioned in the description.

Want to post this to hopefully help out some of my dev peers.

After hours of trying to export a Mac version of my game, I finally figured out a small issue with mac OS systems. Apparently, some Macs have a security measure where the downloads folder is "quarantined", and running .app files from there will result in the following error:

I was going nuts trying to diagnose the issue, none of the online community solutions worked for me. That is until I found someone just saying "copy and paste it into a different folder and it should work". After putting all the information I gathered together, I realized that it doesn't need to be copied and pasted; it doesn't need to be fixed in Terminal; it doesn't need to have spaces removed from the name; It only needs to be outside of the location that some Macs impose as a security quarantine, ie the downloads folder.

The solution probably can be fixed on the developer side with some security override method within the code, but I'm just a self-taught indie dev. Besides, the solution seems to be a non-issue client-side if they knew what was happening. So informing the players is all that's needed; Just move the .app file out of the downloads folder.

That said, Robot Altar--available for Windows since the beginning--is now available also for Mac. And as a primary Mac user, myself, I'm glad I can finally make my little game playable for the pretentious like me.

Super Sellout is a runner featuring Monetization Man, our usual day-to-day superhero. Unfortunately, upon realizing that being a standard superhero doesn’t pay the bills, he started looking for sponsors, equipping him with all kinds of wacky treats!

Sacrifice your mobility and comfort as you pick various sponsors to increase your chances and rates for large high-score! Some sponsorships reduce our hero’s speed, while others add overlays on top of the game, attract dogs and metal objects to you, or randomly spread billboards all across the map! :money_bag::whale:

This Ludum Dare was certainly an unique one for us, and we have already started going hands-deep on trying to give feedback to as many games as possible.
