I hope all of you will have a great Ludum Dare! I've seen a lot of posts about not liking the themes this time around, but isn't it like that every time? And no matter if the theme is excellent or downright terrible, be positive about what you're going to be making. The worst of the themes can still be made into great games.
Excited that LD43 is about to kick off. LD36 was going to be my one and only LD and here I am, overly excited to participate in my 8th consecutive event =)
Remember to always keep pushing forward during the weekend, try to not get hung up on something. I share my astronaut from LD37 to demonstrate:

Things like an evil dog with an afro. The actual image is 64x64, but I scaled it up to 256x256 so it would be easier to see.
I made it while warming up for the jam-- you know, just getting familiar with my tools and all that. It's actually too bad, because I really liked this creation but now I won't be able to use it for Ludum Dare. What do you think of it? Feel free to give tips for improvement.

Well, this will be the first game I have ever made in this modern age of game development... Did I join the event correctly? I created a game, but should I have done it now? Should I go for the JAM or COMPO? How do I find a team? Should I work SOLO or no? I really just want to finish my first game ever, but will I be able to? There's code, art, and music to be made... and I only have 72 hours to make it all... is that right? What are the benefits to the COMPO vs. the JAM? I prefer the extra time on this one. I'm going to spend the next few hours learning how to make my first sprite. This is already starting to seem like an impossible mission, but I will not falter from my chosen path! iT'S GAME TiME! 👉👌

Here for my first (Ludum dare)Jam, Previously I did join GMTK Game Jam but I was hopeless and unable to complete the Game, but it was fun to experience many new things. But here to give it another try, still nervous for I might not deliver a complete project. Audio is a big loophole for me, though I tried to learn some music composition last few months, but don't know if that will work out.
But besides all this, I'm way too 🔥excited🔥 for the Jam and Hope everyone have fun.🎉🎉🎉 The theme I wish to win the final round: Sacrifices must be made.💀
