Adventure Game Studio anyone?
Hey guys, I just wonder. Is there anyone Working in Adventure Game Studio?
Hey guys, I just wonder. Is there anyone Working in Adventure Game Studio?
I just wonder, is there anyone using AGS?
It's been a short while since my last compo (LD38) and I can't wait to get back into it! This will be my 6th LD overall.
I'll be using Python this time instead of Java, with the Pyglet library. For any 'programmer graphics' I'll keep it simple with Paint.NET, and I'll probably be hunting for sound tools midway through the compo.
Last weekend I spent a small bit of time warming up and familiarising myself with Pyglet, I made some sort of isometric walking game. Hopefully the game I make will have more content than this..

I m in for the 3th time (old ludum games can be found here).
Gonna use this time:
Inkscape + GMS 2.
Have fun and happy ludum.
This will be my first solo Jam. Using Unity/C# once again with GIMP/Blender/Git(Hub)/Bosca Ceoil. Looking forward to seeing what we all come up with!
I'm doing this again, I mean, you can't pass on the last December LD, can you? I had a blast last Ludum Dare, and scored pretty well with my game You Are God. Just like last time, I'm gonna try to livestream the entire development on Twitch.
I haven't quite decided what tools I'll be using yet. My original thought was going with Unity like I did last time, but lately I've been considering doing something in Rust, even though I'm not that comfortable with gamedev in Rust yet. It might be a good way to learn? I have been doing quite a lot of development in Rust lately, and I love the language, I'm just not sure if I have the knowledge and tools to finish in time.
Oh well, I guess we'll see. Good luck to you all and have a fun Ludum Dare!
I'm in again, this time I'll go for the compo

Hi, This is my first Ludum dare and I am really looking forward. I will be competing as a team with my 2 friends. We will be using Unity, Audacity, Piskel, Bosca Ceoil and Itch.io. Looking forward to seeing what everyone makes. Stormy
Heya everybody, this is my first time in Ludum Dare - finally, been wanting to participate for like ages. Working in games professionally since 2000, took me a while to find the time for LD :D Will team up with my son Noah AKA Emo-Bonnie (aged 12, passionate pixelartist and aspiring lua-coder) and we’re both very excited to see what we can come up with. Good luck and tons of fun, everyone!
Hi guys, i was wondering is there any button to join the jam or submitting a game when it end is how to join.

Be careful. Creators of legendary Plag (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/plag) knock the fuck out the door of 43th LD !

1 year ago, during LD40, i made my first game! I'm excited to see how far I've come during that time. In ld40 i placed at lower 25%. In ld41 it was lower 20%, and ld42 it was lower 15%. My goal this time is to make it to the lower 10%, and I want to go negative in ld46 ;)
Good luck to everyone. The theme is gonna be "it only changes when you aren't looking", I'm callling it.
It's that time again! Already pumped up to create another game. After LD42, I think I need to focus more on my time when thinking of ideas to plan the idea out, which is definitely what I'm going to be doing this time!.
Same as last time, I'll probably be using:
Game Engine: Unity3D (2018.3.0b12)
Modelling: Blender
Audio: Audacity
Graphics/Textures: Adobe Photoshop CC 2018
IDE: JetBrains Rider
I am really hoping that a good theme gets chosen this time round.
EDIT: Fixed Unity3D version

Just few more hours!!
Frankly, I just learned that it's time for another LD Jam, but hey, it's okay. Probably going to abstain from making sprites and audio myself this time since I'll be running on limited time budget. It's still going to be fun :D
After actually submitting something on last LD I can't just allow myself to break the streak of 1 game after all, can I? :P
Planning on using different engine than I normally use too. Time to give Godot some serious try at this.
Good luck and let's have fun everybody!

I intend to participate in LD43, but as preparation in the past few days I've read a lot about the requirements and nightmares accompanying LGPL 2.1 license (which pygame and SDL 1.2 are based on). Now I'm doubting if I can actually publish the binary of my game, because it is just too much legal bullcrap to consider and work for, especially taking into account the fact that I have never published anything and am very new to pygame in general. I can publish the source code on Github with whatever license I want (MIT) if I just list pygame and any other library as a dependency and put the links and instructions on how to install them. So to the question... can I just post source code of my game instead of a binary? Or that will not actually count? I am aware that fewer people can/will play it because it is harder than a simple binary but will it count as my submission?
Definitely excited for the final LD for the year, I'm PUMPED 😤😱😁!! With that being said, I'm hoping the theme comes down to "Don't Trust The Game" or "Sacrifices Must Be Made" 🤔👻
What are your guys' hopes? Let me know🤓
