LD 43 November 30–December 3, 2018

I'm a Rustacean amd I am in for I don't even know which time

I took a big break since my last jam. This time will be quite different than my last jams. I'll stream for as much as I can at .

I'll be using Rust and Amethyst as my primary gamedeving tools. Wha-what?! A gamejam in Rust? It's been done before. I just want to see whether I can do it. Also, Amethyst is data-oriented, so that's another layer of hard. Graphics will be likely in 2D, all made in Krita.

There's one more layer of hard. I have a seminar on Saturday from 9 til 17, so that's 8 hours I won't spend making a game. Due to all the layers of hard I will be jamming instead of compoing as usually.

You can follow me on twitter at , I'll post more stuff there.

New account, New Jam

Im in on this jam as I have some free time. Using a new account as my old one which I did older jams (1-3 years ago) no longer works on this website.

Hoping for the Control the environment, not the player theme. Think it could be fun!

How hard can it be?

Well here goes nothing!

Hi folks I'm in too. This may be my first game jam but that still not stopping me from trying to Solo it of course that does come with a few restrictions. This game Dev student might as well give it a shot after all. But I look forward to seeing how we all get on, this is gonna be fun.

my Game Dev weapons of choice: Engine:Unity/RPGMaker(If I admit defeat) Coding: C# via Visual Sudio Graphics: Photoshop & 3Ds max Sound: using the humble bundle assets from the last sale, so I'll opt out of this chategory Delivery platform:PC or Android

A 15 years old joined the jam

I've been programming for already some years, but I really do not think that I can make something "good" in 48* hours lol. I also never had participated in a Jam before, this is my first one. But hey! I was told that Jams are for challenging you to do your best and improve as a programmer, so it'll be, I'll give my best on this!

Good Jam for y'all guys! Give your best!

5th LD

What theme do you hope to win? Personally, I'm rooting for Making Connections! As my 5th LD, the only time I hated a theme was "Combine 2 incompatable genres", I usually keep an open mind but that one really just slapped me in the face, let's hope this LD is better!

I'm in, with the visual novel thing... properly, this time

Two editions of Ludum Dare ago, I made a space "visual novel" with @katethemakeupmonster called Crops in Space. Given my tendency for less narrative-driven games it turned out more like a simulator/RPG than an actual visual novel, despite using Ren'Py for development and Kate's art gearing toward the VN style. (Check it out here)

This time around, we're going full VN with branching choices and a focus on narrative, character development, and relationships. At least, that's what we're aiming to do.

In addition, Kate will be available for the entire 72 hours of the jam, which is 66 more hours than she had to work on Crops in Space. That, plus additional experience with art, should result in an improved visual presentation. (No pressure, my love <3)

The final themes list is much better in my personal opinion than it has been the past few years. Let's hope for a nice broad theme that's open to interpretation but not so broad it loses all meaning, yeah?

We're also streaming the whole thing so come hang out!

I'm In!

I'm in for my first LD in a while! Super excited for it as I've had some more experience as a software engineer in industry since the last time!

My tools of choice: Game Engine: Unity. Graphics: GIMP. Audio: BFXR and Audacity.

Good luck!

I can't participate this time...

1st of December just isn't right! I'm on vacation and I don't have more than 3 hours to make a game! I hope this changes. Next Jam I'm going to make a game using my own Game Engine (if it's finished)! :)

Sand Gardeners are back... and joined by a friend

Hello everyone!

It's been a while, but time went so fast! :smile_cat:

We are very excited to take part in our 5th consecutive Ludum Dare, and we are very happy to welcome in our team Marc (@OldLoths), who will be helping us with some fabulous 3D art and other magic tricks! ✨✨✨✨

We hope everyone will have a good time, please take care of yourself, drink lots of water and get some fresh air! ❄

As always, you can find us on the following: Looking forward to see what you will all make, and good luck!

❤❤❤ With love, Sand Gardeners ❤❤❤

Someone in need for help?

I dont think i can make my own game this time but i still want to participate somehow. Offering all the time my weekend has to offer to someone who is in need of a developer with the following skills: - Unity3D - RESTApi-Development of any kind - Angular - PyxelEdit - Photoshop (not an artist!) and i can offer my servers to run webgames.

New Dev...First Game Jam

I'm in. This will be my first game jam! Little nervous about it but I'm sure it's going to be fun. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Im in

Im 13 and my first game jam

I'm in this thing

In for my first ever game jam! I'm really excited for this, and I can't wait to see how people think of my games!

Tools:

Programming language: Scratch 3.0

Art: Piskel

Sounds: Beepbox

Hope everyone participating has a fun time!

This is going to be.... interesting.

I've managed to talk my classmates into participating this time around. Fortunately, they have experience in coding with Java which is quite similar to C#. Unfortunately, none of them have experience with Unity or any other game engine.

It'll be quite the task but I think we can pull it off if we keep things relatively simple. I plan to be more of a team lead than a developer this time around. We'll see how it goes.

Wish me luck!

THE INNEST

All set up for the 14th time in a row! 😨 Let's do this!

Gan your battest!! 💪

Let's do this thing!

Totally in for Ludum Dare this weekend! I have to get the streak going after a successful LD42 that broke a bad slump.

Need to go shopping this afternoon before the gym to stock up for the weekend. After that, it's time to hit the ground running!

Sticking with the usual stack this time around - going for the Compo, but if all else fails the Jam: - Unity - Photoshop CC - Blender - FL Studio

Depending on how the internet in my new apartment fares, I'd love to stream a good deal of the weekend over on my Twitch channel.

Good luck to all you jammers - and remember, THINK QUICK, ITERATE QUICKER, and most importantly HAVE FUN!

A Godot scaffold

I'm in! And I made a simple 2D scaffold for the Godot game engine:

That's my 3rd time...

For some reason, last tries went not so good as planned... But I hope that at this time, it will be the much better, I'm learned much since then.

I'm will use: - Aseprite - for 2d pixel art - Unity3d - as a 2d engine - Notepad++ - as note list - BoscaCeoil - as a music tool - Bfxr - as a sound tool

Good luck everyone in this huge event. Hope team of jam will be nice.
