Shaping up, no sacrifice yet...
I was thinking, all enemies also have legs.
If you kill them, their legs drop as loot and if your legs are missing you can replace them with new legs.
Legs can be eaten for health, maybe for other things as well.

Just got around to getting some belated lunch at 15:30 so it's time for a little break. Here's what I have so far after half a day! 💃

Since the jam started at 03:00 for me I just kept on sleeping till 08:00 and then took until 11:00 to come up with an idea and flesh it out before I finally opened Unity, so I've been at it for about 4.5 hours so far. c:
I'm making a dialogue-heavy game this time. Don't do those very often! The game is about something as arcane as orchestrating your own murder! 💀
To the right you can see the tools I've been setting up to create a cast of characters as varied as possible with as little work as possible. Working on adding hairstyles/hats too. 🎩
It's been an experience so far! Learning a lot and really enjoying Unreal. Haven't written a single line of code thanks to Blueprints which has been interesting, definitely looking forward to write some C++ for the first time in years... but maybe for later projects.
Anyway here are a couple of sneak peek images!
(Top - Basic Environment layout, "Pressure Pad" operated Door in first room, Keypad operated door in second)

(Bottom - Picking up and carrying ragdoll around, activates the pressure plate/trigger boxes for the doors to keep them open! )
The base for ship is coded, engines glued to their position and they no longer get left behind when the ship turns.
Time to get some food and make the engines actually give us some movement.

You are a mayan priest trying to keep the flock happy by carrying out the sacrifices they shout out for. Oh, and your also all chickens.
Started development, screenshots incoming!
I decided to scrap the cave, or manor setting, and went with a forest survival idea. Since trying to survive also requires making sacrifices...
Let's see how far I can take this idea.
You will know more soon.

So, I've brainstormed for a while and decided the best thing for me to do would be to create a fast prototype to see if my game has any potential.
Feel free to try my game mechanic in your browser.
I would love to have some honest feedback on the idea. If it sucks then I still have time to change to idea.

Im making a platformer where You play as a slime. The more you move the smaller you get. However when you are smaller you can jump higher. You need to sacrifice your safety for the task and be carefull, so you won´t dissolve.
I downvoted this theme all 3 times i encountered it!
Don't you?
https://dk5000p.itch.io/cowboy-hell, currently the UI is a little off but this is the beginning, planning on maybe six stats.
I am really satisfied with how my pixel art looks so far. I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone, and it seems to pay off!
In the game, player will have 4 abilities: pushing boxes, jumping over obstacles, swimming in water and chooping up bushes. There will also be 4 sacred places (a jumping sacred place is shown in the gif). Goal of the player is to visit all of them in order to get to the next level. Visiting each one however disables one of your abilities (the one in the gif is supposed to disable jumping). When you push a box over water, it becomes ground.

My dude still has a bit too many special abilities, such as flying and going through walls
Now, I will finish up with the sacred places, add bushes and then I have to just make the game work. Implement jumping, pushing of boxes, and finally make an actual level.
Then, level design, level design, level design. How to have whole sunday for that.

THAT BACKGROUND WALL TOOK WAAY TOO LONG TO DRAW.
I REGRET NIL.

Camera and room traversing. I'll probably add transitions later, aka there won't be transitions probably.
Thanks for participating!

Hello everyone, I wish you all good luck and some fresh and awesome ideas! Our small team (EastArea) will try to put something good too (at least playable I hope)
