Trying to Name The Game (PS. I'm In)

Person Running From Nuclear Reactor

My ideas list so far: - Power Run - Bionic Legs - Leg Day - Nuclear Feet - Neutron Escape

or I guess it all else fails I could just name it on the nose...
Escape The Exploding Nuclear Power Plant With Augmented Legs!

Solar shield!

Really need some defense? Synthesize some power! SolarShield.gif

Oh noes, single digit on hours left

Seriously though, I'm almost done. Gonna do some finishing touches and tweaks with the few remaining hours before I call it a day... voodoo-lockdown-cover.gif

Ready to finish this!

I'm up, had a great sleep for almost 7 hours (I think), and I'm ready to finish all of the scenes! (hopefully)

Let's just hope it doesn't take too long. (I say that when I'm creating a scene that will continue in three paths...)

Gotta go fast

Before and After

before.PNG after.PNG

I love before and after captures. It's a good showcase of how something is built; in small steps. An artist starts with a sketch. A musician starts with just a few notes. A game developer starts with primitives and stupid little smiley cicles.

People are often put off making things because they can't make the perfect thing straight away. Everything needs to be done in small steps. There is nothing wrong with that.

Times Up!

Im out of time due to work but i got it done! woo!!!

check the game here Screenshot (260).png warlock6.gif warlock8.gif please consider buying on itchio if you like it :D

2nd Ludum Dare!

I've gotten a suprising amount of work done on the first day! I don't really know what to add next though...

Here are some screenshots C: Screenshot 2017-07-30 20.07.32.png

I added nighttime too, just to make it a bit harder. Screenshot 2017-07-30 20.07.10.png

I'm done (in every possible way)

Yeah, I will end it here. Several things did not go as intended. I finished... something and I'm happy that I did, but I'm not happy with how it all went down and honestly: I don't feel like working on it any more for now.

I will wrap this up tomorrow, because I still think I learned a lot this time and I will try to improve while waiting for the next Ludum Dare. I will be back. :sunglasses:

Sounds like progress to me.

Hey, I'm starting to create the art for my entry. It's not much, but if you remember yesterday, it was a simple cube! Technically, the game is finished, everything works well, I just want to keep the last day to polish it all (yep, I go for Jam and not Compo... again XD)

Enervatus is finished!

It is getting there...

Our logic is mostly finished, but we haven't done a lot for graphics or leveldesign yet (as you can see...).

You are a developer who has to fix bugs (resembled by puzzles) in his nightmares. His power goes down as his level of fatigue rises. He can regenerate power by drinking coffee.

There's almost a full work day remaining!

However, that doesn't help when "oh god this is my weekend why am I fatigued" kicks in.

Keep going, finish line in sight :)

Here's a little more programmer art to keep you motivated.

Entering hyperdrive!!!

yeah3!.gif Finally got a higher framerate for the gif. This game is starting to get really messy, I'm not sure I'll be able to finish it in time for polishing it up and such. Hopefully everyone will understand how to play! Good luck to everyone who's still going! Looks like I'll be up till 2am again (the deadline)...

Finally Finished

RunningOutOFPower3.gif

After hours of work and copious amounts of caffeine,I have finished my first game jam ever! It was a fun experience with many head pounding moments :) but alas, perseverance prevails! I kept it simple and did a twist on infinite runners. Check out my submission if you're bored https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/running-power

Almost done

Most of the story is done, only the last part is left to do. Then testing, and then a few illustrations if I have the time.

I was planning to do a jam at first, because I wanted to use some music (and can't make my own), but since music doesn't work like I expected it to do in Twine, and that I am ahead of my schedule, I may submit this as a compo instead.

Back to work, fast :D
