Gonna be doing some streaming on Twitch. If you're in the mood to watch me develop to random EDM tracks I found on Spotify then you can watch!
I've chosen Phaser (JavaScript) as my framework for this dare. What's everyone else using?
3 things: First Time in a ludum dare, no experience in game develop and very excited!
This will be my first time actually participating in the Ludum Dare, It's 3 AM right now, just got back from a party and ready to start brainstorming in a second. Can't wait!
Solo compo, using Unity as my engine. My goal for the first jam is to make something playable.
I am excited to be participating in this jam.
Engine: Game Maker Studio 2/Art: Premade or Pyxel Edit/Audio: bfxr.net, Bosca Ceoil.
Hi all ! Going all in with this LD39 :) hopefully gonna make the solo, worst case scenario, took monday off so the Jam entry is a possibility, just in case ;)
Best of luck to everyone and happy Ludum Dare !
@Cooldel23 and I are going to try and make a game to enter for this Ludum Dare.
We are probably going to be using Construct for this game because our programming skills are not yet polished enough to make a full game. We are both fairly new to making video games so hopefully this will be a great learning experience for both of us.
This really is a last minute decision, but i think im in for Compo!
Will be using C++ / SFML and PyxelEdit to draw my sprites.
Not really much to say this early on, wish you guys best of luck as well ;3
Let's go!
It will be my first jam.
I’m using godot
Gonna make schtuff using schtuff!
Tools: - GameMaker Studio 2 - Pyxel Edit - BFXR - Bosca Ceoil
Yay! :þ

First Ludum Dare in 9 years (last was LD12) and my has it grown... Last time I tried super hard mode and did the compo writing almost everything from scratch (except for a physics engine and SDL for cross platform.) This time I want to focus more on the game and so I'm using Unity. Still feels like cheating though...
Is there and IRC/slack chat where people hang out?
First jam in a long long time. Gonna make something on unity and that's probably a bad idea! :D
Running out of Power... Interesting
So far I don't really have any ideas, but then again its only been half an hour. When I hit the 7 hour mark, then I'll get worried about the idea.
I do have a genre I would like to pursue tho, for some reason lately I've been really drawn towards a text based game. We'll see, I guess
This is my 3.5th Ludum Dare. I'm just going to be making a simple game with lasers that decay over time and have a limited power supply. Not really going to try and explain here, but if you want to see my progress twitch stream here. To get my source code visit my Ludum Dare 39 github repository here.
Tools: - Custom lwjgl engine in java - Paint.net - No idea for audio/music
I am giving this a shot.
Ready for LD39
