3 hours of progress

Virtual keyboards are pretty nifty.

Virtual keyboards are pretty nifty.
This was one of the themes I was hoping for :D. Sadly I've been out all day and have lost like 3 hours I could be working :0
Also, maybe I'll actually add music this time!

The mythical spirit of the lake is forced to relocate and find a new home as its own is running out of souls to feed on...

featuring CPU expensive effects

I've never made a game before, but I'm not stupid, I know all the great games start with a .xlsm file!
My team and I have been working for 3 hours on our first Ludum Dare together, and we think we've done enough for tonight. Gonna get some sleep and work some more on it in the morning. Can't wait!
Prototype of my game: a platformer where the player has a limited amount of fuel that they can use to fly or as a flamethrower against enemies.

It's an un-dead battery...

Hey guys and gals. Here is my first take on this LDJAM - 39
Good luck to all. I do now have an idea at least.

Spent the first three hours sleeping (it's 7 AM here now) and I'm ready to rock and roll! The tools I will be using: - Editor: LightTable - Game library: play-clj - Graphics: Photoshop CS - Sound: bfxr and maybe musagi(???)
This will be my second jam using Clojure so hopefully I've worked out most of the kinks in the last one and there won't be any show-stopping bugs this time. Fingers crossed!
Well I'm really happy with the progress I made tonight. It's late so I'm going to get some sleep and get up early. Before I go, here is a snapshot though.

Doing the art and design tonight. That way I can see if I have the energy to code a game up.

Just wanted to share a quick screenshot of the progress that I've made over the first few hours of the event.
The quickest intro that I could give to the game I've decided to make for this theme would be 'underground solar-powered car racing'. So far I've been able to implement an appropriate camera, basic player movement, and some crude collisions.
It's just past midnight here on the east coast of the US, so I think I'm going to head to bed now so that I can get up at a reasonable time tomorrow. Good night!

Can I say halfway that Im out? I mean can I just dispose if I don't like what Im doing?
First game ever, using unity and photoshop
In order to commit something to GitHub I had to delete the repo from my computer and just clone it again. Using the command line, I went one directory back and typed "rm -rf *" instead of "rm -rf ". After one second, I realized what I did, but it was too late. I'm just hoping that I didn't delete anything of importance.
:bread:

... In unit-test form. That counts, right? No? Okay.
It's a kind of short game but it will take longer for me developing it. It's gonna be a top-down and... and nothing more. It's gonna be a failure. Still, don't know how to compose musics for COMPO.
