Testing a few tone and colour palette ideas!

Testing a few tone and colour palette ideas!
Oh... I've spent all day programming the mechanics for my game, and now, I just realized that my game makes Dark Souls looks like a children's educational barbie game.lol
But it's fun.
End of the first day.
I've made the full movement system, all the audio (which means one music and one sound...), most of the tiles, and the torch. I still have to do the levels (basically just screen going from left to right with little holes and some jump to do), title/ending screen, tiles for one level, and ennemies. Five ennemies will exist, two permanant that reduce the amount of power you have left, and one that kills you when the torch is off too much, and three depending on the level.
It's going okay, but I start to feel that the ludum dare may be short for an "horror" game.
Been working on an asteroids-like space game. Despite losing 12 hours and feeling a bit ill, fighting both health and game bugs for a few hours, I've made decent progress!
(Hopefully this gif works!!!)

After a day of working on my jumping game I have the basic mechanics done(ish) and the character modeled and partially animated. Still got a way to go including having more than one level but I don't think I'm in trouble yet! This is only my second jam and so I'm still stumbling in the dark :)
The speed you travel is determined by the amount of power you have. If you have too little power you can't made some jumps and too much you could over shoot. Careful Power control is needed.

Turns out drawing sprites on my phone is gonna be more tricky than I'd thought. BUT it is possible.

Dynamic loading and placement of floor tiles is in! It might not look like much, but as a grid-based dungeon crawler, this will serve as the basis for the game world.

Just another update. I hate particle systems and this took way to long to get looking ok. Check out my stream if you want to watch me struggle ;) #selfPromotion

And it's pretty stupid

Found some new energy after dinner and managed to make the first character... Many more to go and still normal mapping is required... It's really not looking good but must keep on going

It's about a battery cell which is also a necromancer, dabumtsss
I'm in! I'm coming in late. This will be my first jam. I'll be using Love2D engine using the Lua programming language and Box2D physics engine, The Aseprite animation software and won't have time or tools to make music, so it'll be soundless or use SFXR or BFXR or something. If I find extra time I'd make chiptunes and they'd be made in MilkyTracker.
Not sure I'll get everything done in time for the compo. Probably going jam again.

First of many cabinets to populate your arcade! Hopefully you can make enough money with these to keep the lights on. And hopefully there won't be a power surge or anything...o_o no, that would be bad...

Now, time for a snack. For some reason I feel like some fruit...

I've got a Google doc, and this sprite. Iiiiiii'm not sure I'm going to make it.
